💙 ATDA Staff Spotlight: Meet Mr. Robert Baca! 📚
We’re excited to introduce Mr. Robert Baca, our English Teacher for grades 9–12 at Albuquerque Talent Development Academy!
✨ Get to know Mr. Baca:
📚 What he enjoys most about ATDA:
He loves having small classes because they allow him to give individual attention to his students.
💡 Favorite part of working with students:
Listening to students discuss complex ideas and present lessons for the class—and seeing them develop their own understanding of a lesson.
🏰 Fun fact:
Mr. Baca was once a medieval re-creator and was part of a group that pretended to live in medieval times!
📖 Favorite hobby:
Researching genealogy and family history. He even wrote a book about the history of the Baca family in the Socorro Land Grant!
🌮 Favorite foods:
New Mexican food, hamburgers & pizza!
⭐ Favorite movies/TV:
He’s a huge Star Wars fan and enjoys shows and movies from the Star Wars universe.
✈️ Dream destinations:
Spain and Mexico. He has never traveled outside the country!

“I get the opportunity to teach science in Spanish and English, practice a language I was slowly losing, and experience a culture I had been separated from for many years.”

“I spent my childhood traveling all over the world and graduated from high school in Spain!”

Organic gardening, jewelry making, and cycling.
