NMGRA - New Mexico Gay Rodeo Association

NMGRA’s Rodeo Rewind Thursday

Today, we're throwing it back to 2024, when our very own Mr. New Mexico Gay Rodeo 2025 and Mr. International Gay Rodeo 2026 1st Runner-Up, Ryder Gently, competed for the title of Mr. New Mexico Gay Rodeo!

From stepping onto the stage as a candidate to representing New Mexico on the international stage, Ryder's journey is a wonderful reminder of where it all began and how far dedication, passion, and love for the gay rodeo community can take you!

We're proud to have Ryder as part of the NMGRA family and all he has accomplished!

Make sure to join us later this month at IGRA World Finals as Ryder steps down from his international title and we come together to celebrate and honor the incredible work he and the entire IGRA Royalty Team have accomplished throughout their reign!

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month!

The New Mexico Gay Rodeo Association (NMGRA) stands in support of those currently battling breast cancer, celebrates the strength of survivors, and honors the memory of those we have lost.

Breast cancer can affect anyone, regardless of gender. Early detection through recommended screenings and awareness of changes in your body can make a difference.

This October, we encourage everyone to take charge of their health, support those affected, and help spread awareness. Together, we can make a difference!

Happy International Coffee Day from the New Mexico Gay Rodeo Association (NMGRA)!

Whether you like it hot, iced, black, or loaded with cream and sugar, there's nothing like a good cup of coffee to get your day started!

Now we want to hear from you! What's your favorite coffee, and how do you like it? Are you a simple black coffee drinker, or do you love a fancy latte?

Let us know in the comments!

Mark your calendars! If you're in the Denver Metro area, come out on Saturday, November 7th, at 2:00 PM at Charlie's Denver and support our Mr. New Mexico Gay Rodeo candidate, Andrew Gayheart, at the annual Chili & Soup Cook Off!

Enjoy delicious chili and soup, great company, and an afternoon of fun while supporting a wonderful cause benefiting CASA Q!

The entry fee is $25, and you can register online at charliesdenver.com.

Let's show Andrew some New Mexico love and support!

Congratulations to our Mr. New Mexico Gay Rodeo candidate, Andrew Gayhart, on a successful Jell-O shot fundraiser this past weekend!

A huge thank you to Charlie’s Nightclub Denver for hosting the fundraiser and to everyone who came out to support Andrew. Your generosity helped him reach his fundraising goal for NMGRA!

Whether it's in-state or out-of-state, we are truly grateful for the continued love and support shown to our royalty candidates and the New Mexico Gay Rodeo Association.

It's communities like yours that help keep the spirit of gay rodeo alive!

September 27 is National Gay Men’s HIV/AIDS Awareness Day.

Today, NMGRA honors those we have lost, celebrates those living and thriving with HIV, and recognizes the generations who fought for the treatment, prevention, and resources we have today.

HIV does not define a person, and no one should ever face it with shame or stigma. We continue to stand together, support one another, and remind our community that knowing your status is an act of care for yourself and those you love.

Remember the past. Support those living today. Keep fighting for a future without HIV stigma.

World Finals is going PINK!

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a time to raise awareness, encourage early detection, and honor everyone whose life has been impacted by breast cancer.

On Sunday, October 25, NMGRA is proud to join IGRA and the World Gay Rodeo Finals in wearing pink to show our support.

We encourage our NMGRA competitors, royalty, members, and everyone joining us in El Reno to wear pink in honor of those currently fighting, celebrate survivors, support their families and loved ones, and remember those we have lost.

Early detection matters. Knowing your body, talking with your healthcare provider about your individual risk, and getting recommended screenings can make a difference.

Rodeo is about more than what happens in the arena. It’s about community, family, and showing up for one another.

Wear Pink. Show Your Support. Ride for a Cause.

New Mexico is headed to World Finals!

The 2026 World Gay Rodeo Finals and IGRA Royalty Competition are going to El Reno, Oklahoma, October 22 through 25, and NMGRA is ready!

We are incredibly excited for our NMGRA competitors who will be representing the Land of Enchantment in the arena, competing alongside some of the best rodeo competitors from across IGRA.

And the competition doesn’t stop in the arena! Our New Mexico Gay Rodeo Association Royalty will also be representing NMGRA as they compete in the IGRA Royalty Competition throughout the weekend.

From the arena dirt to the royalty stage, New Mexico will be represented and we couldn’t be more excited to cheer them all on!

Good luck, Team New Mexico! We’ll see you at World Finals!

Throwback Thursday!

Throwing it back to the start of the 2026 rodeo season this past February at the 40th Arizona Gay Rodeo!

Our very own Miss New Mexico Gay Rodeo 2025 and reigning Miss International Gay Rodeo 2026, Anna Konda Williams, was representing as another exciting rodeo season got underway.

There’s nothing like rodeo family, great memories, and a little New Mexico representation wherever we go!
