American Legion Riders Chapter 10 Post 69

ALR State Picnic 2026 Caballo Lake hosted by Chapter 4 Las Cruces. September 18th-20th. 4 of us Riders and 1 Post member. We took "Big Momma" out for her second trip since we bought her, 3 weeks ago. We got there on Friday afternoon, Riders from Chapter 4 were already set up and ready for the weekend. We visited and had hamburgers for dinner, a little karaoke and some corn hole was what was on the agenda for Friday night. Great comaraderie with a few riders from Chapter 29 Los Lunas and Chapter 4. It was great seeing everyone as it had been a long minute since the last time we all got together. Saturday morning we all had breakfast and in the afternoon they took a ride out to Hatch. A few of us stayed behind to visit and enjoy the afternoon with beautiful weather after the rain. It was such a chill afternoon. Saturday evening we all had an amazing meal, pulled pork sandwiches and all the sides. Sunday we had breakfast and packed up to come home. We had an amazing time! A big shout out to Chapter 4 Las Cruces for all your hard work putting this weekend together and all the wonderful meals and drinks. What a fantastic weekend, making great memories. Another one for the books!

Yesterday a few of us from our Chapter rode to the State picnic for the day. A group of us rode to Hatch to relax, socialize and see some local sites. Found a lost dog, contacted her owner and all was good. Ride back we caught the tail end of a hail and rain storm about 7 miles north of Lemitar. It was pretty bad riding in it for about 10 minutes. Everyone survived all good and safe. Great food and a nice group of people at the picnic. Thank you Lila for the great pics and video.
