Saranam LLC

💙 All kinds of bonds are strengthened and formed at the Saranam. These snapshots capture the parental bonds growing with their newborn and new friendships forming.

🌿 Every spring and summer we welcome families experiencing homelessness to Saranam. Each group, or cohort, starts their two-year journey out of homelessness together. They live in the same apartment complex as neighbors, classmates, and friends. By sharing experiences they create bonds that will sustain them when they leave Saranam.

🏠 Community is one of the pillars in our mission. This image is displayed in our Weil Family Center.

🤗 We INCLUDE, RESPECT, and SUPPORT each other in many ways. All the families agree to these while they are together in community at family night or gatherings. The children and adults made the colorfully collaged houses.

👏👏 We'd like to thank the community partners at our alumni reunion last week-- from the FOOD to PRIZES to the BUBBLES! We had a great turnout and it was the perfect day to catch up with friends and community.

💛 Saranam serves families from all over New Mexico.

46% of the families served since 2004 came from outside of Albuquerque. In 2025, Saranam housed 82% of all Albuquerque families in transitional housing.*

When families transition to independent living, we evaluate their progress using our six measures of success. To exit successfully, a family must meet at least three measures of success.

🏠 Housing: Has the family moved into stable housing?
🎓 Education: Have the adult members of the family significantly improved their level of education?
💼 Employment: Are the adult members of the family employed?
⏳ Life Skills Management: Have the adult members of the family significantly improved their ability to manage life?
💞 Children/Parenting: Have the parents improved their parenting skills?
↗️ Major Barriers to Stability: Have the adult members of the family addressed the major barriers to their family stability?
