In the latest MEG Feature on the NEWS section of our website, Irina Dakhnovskaia Lawton shares her thoughts on the challenging yet rewarding process of making an artist’s book.

"After finishing my long-term project, Wondering about Pictorialism, it felt like a natural step to bring all the images together into one place--something tangible and more accessible to a wider audience," Irina says.

Swipe to see the artist at work and read more at the link in our bio about how deeply satisfying it was for her to make every creative decision.

A freighter's anchor chain becomes a tree engaged in a rhythmic dance with a fire escape.

A sycamore tree becomes a shadow cast on the wall of a historic farmhouse.

That's the idea behind PROGRESSIONβ€”a collaborative exhibition where every photograph builds on the one before it.

This Weekend at MEG ➑️

Follow a visual PROGRESSION of 48 images displayed in a continuous line on our three walls.

The exhibition features three images from each of our artists.

Each artist had just 24 hours to find an image that connected to the previous one in some way.

Some found connections in recent work, some dug deep in their archives.

The result is a collaborative story revealing similarities in ways of seeing.

We're excited to announce the opening of PROGRESSION!

After a two-year hiatus, this much-loved exhibition is back with an all-new sequence of 48 photographs by 16 photographers, arranged in a continuous line around the gallery.

In PROGRESSION, every photograph leads into the next. Sometimes the relationship is obvious. Other times it's subtle. It may be based on color, composition, geography, subject matter...or something entirely unexpected.

Look closely, make connections, and see where the sequence takes you!
