Dane-Twins update: the tails have been taken but the wags have not stopped 🥹

Shoutout to Vanah Renfro🖤🤍 and her soon-be-hubby Barrett Calhoun for volunteering to handle transport for the medical procedures to be completed!

It was vet recommended (multiple times) and I will admit it’s a lot harder to tell the two apart with the cones on 🥹 but these two already seem much more content without the ability to chew up their tails or re-hurt them everytime they are happy or get excited (which is pretty much constant)

Dr notes; they both did great, but sister did need some extra anesthesia due to “pure stubbornness” They have a recheck in a couple weeks, but once they are vet-okayed they will be able to join us for some events to explore the community and meet some people!

From being at risk of euthanasia before they could finish their first year of life to wagging nubs, there has not been a boring chapter in their story!

What will happen next!? Will we be able to find them a home together? Will they find their own place for attention in separate homes? Stay tuned and follow Different Breed Solutions Rescue for more updates as their rescue tail unfolds!

Curious how things are going with “Big Dawg” (previously Old Yeller from Sherman Animal Shelter?)

He’s doing great. He’s now a resident of Oklahoma, has the best sleeping skills, snoozing right through thunderstorms alongside his now lifelong thunder buddy cody.b.4473

We couldn’t be happier for this new dynamic douo 🤞 prayers for a happy long life together and full of future updates!

THANK YOU everyone who came out or stopped by THE PIT the dogs had so much fun and one even found their freedom ride…to TULSA!

Our amazing Miai had Sweet Peeta accompany her for a doggy date out from Collin County Animal Services, (reach them to learn more about her) and though she didn’t find her adoptive match, we found out how well matched she could be for a family with youngins!

She enjoyed affection, treats, lots of water and paid no mind to the crowds noise, close-ness, or the slamming of extremely heavy weights and objects!

Congratulations Cody on reaching that podium and taking the real win by adopting “Big Dawg!

Longtimer Spotlight: Billiard the boy who needs a home that will 1, not give up on him. 2, give him time to decompress and learn boundaries. And 3 give him the love and care he absolutely deserves 😭 he is strong, can pull, but with a good handler consistently setting boundaries he will become an easy walking buddy! Is considered animal selective (horse was a no)

Longtimer Spotlight Seven, manners have improved since entering adoption avenue, can pull when excited, redirects relatively easily, and boy does he love fetch!

Longtimer Spotlight Libra has been here far too long just like Billiard returned without much time to decompress. Athletic with a love for affection over treats they would do best in a home that wants to spend time with them and is okay with taking over training!
