We understand why parents see tackles and worry. But familiar doesn’t automatically mean safer.

Every sport has risk. Rugby is a contact sport, and we don’t pretend otherwise. But contact is taught — how to tackle, how to be tackled, how to fall, proper body position and how to protect yourself. Play safely.

And at Exiles, our High School Girls club side is led by women who have played this game. Lived it. And understand what it means to be a girl stepping onto a rugby field.

Tonight, the Exiles 2026–27 season begins.

We’re excited to welcome both our Men’s XVs, and our High School Girls (ages 14–18) as they take the field for the first training session of the new season.

You’re not simply joining another sports team. You’re joining a club. A community. A place to belong.

Whether you’ve played rugby for years or you’re seeing the game for the very first time, you’ll be welcomed from the moment you arrive.

Parents of our High School Girls are not only welcome to stay and watch—they’re encouraged to. We’d love to meet you and answer any questions you may have.

Exiles Men’s XVs is Back.

It all begins Thursday, August 6 at 7:00 PM at Innovation Academy.

Whether you’ve played for years, are returning after time away, or have never picked up a rugby ball, there is a place for you here.

Exiles is a club that plays to win. We train hard, compete hard, and expect the best from one another. But we never lose sight of why we’re here. We believe in developing players, not just selecting them. Every player matters, and every player has the opportunity to grow.

Our coaching staff has won championships, led successful sides, and developed players at every level. Just as importantly, they all remember what it felt like to step onto a rugby field for the very first time.

This isn’t a team you join for a season.

It’s a club you join for life.

At Exiles, we believe there is something special about girls learning the game from women who have lived it. Women who understand rugby, club culture, and the confidence that comes from being part of something bigger than yourself.

August 6 is our first training session—not a registration deadline. Girls ages 14–18 are welcome to join at any point during the season.

Thanks to our awesome sponsors, donors, and senior men’s and women’s players the cost to participate in Exiles High School Girls Rugby is just $50 for the entire season, whether you play 7s, 15s, or both. Required USA Rugby registration is wholly separate from Exiles and is approximately $35.

No experience is necessary. All high schools are welcome.

Several months ago, we asked our members and friends to help support Operation Humane as they responded to the devastating South Georgia wildfires. Thanks to your generosity, we were able to play a small part in that effort.

This week, we learned about Jackie.

When she was found, her injuries were heartbreaking. We chose not to share all of the original photos because they were simply too graphic. Today, Jackie is healing, has been adopted into a loving home, and has a second chance.

At Exiles Rugby Club, we were truly elated to learn how Jackie’s journey has turned out.

Not long after our fundraiser, the Atlanta Humane Society sent our club a wonderful letter thanking our members for supporting Operation Humane. That gratitude belongs to every person who donated, shared our fundraiser, or simply cared.

It’s a reminder that rugby is about more than wins and losses. More than tries and scrums.

At its best, a rugby club is a community. It comes together when help is needed, supports causes bigger than itself, and tries to leave the world just a little better than it found it.

Congratulations, Jackie. We’re all cheering for you.

Yup! Tonight is the last Community Touch Rugby session of the summer.

Next week, preparations for our fall programs get underway, so if you’ve been thinking about coming out, this is your chance. Community Touch Rugby is co-ed, open to ages 16+, non-contact, and no experience is required. Just show up ready to have some fun.

August 6th marks the launch of Exiles High School Girls Rugby.

Our program is led by experienced women rugby coaches, ensuring our players learn and grow under the guidance of women who know the game and are committed to developing the next generation of players. The coaching staff is also supported by a National Championship-winning Women’s coach, bringing decades of experience to the program.

Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors, donors, and senior men’s and women’s players, we’ve been able to keep the entire 2026–27 season at just $50 because we believe every girl should have the opportunity to play rugby.

At Exiles, it’s about more than learning a game. It’s about belonging to a club that invests in its future. Our members include high school educators, university faculty, IT professionals, business owners, entrepreneurs, healthcare professionals, skilled tradespeople, first responders, and many others. Together, they create a community where young players can find mentors, role models, and opportunities that extend well beyond the rugby pitch.

August 6th is our first training session—not a registration deadline. New players are welcome throughout the season, and no rugby experience is required.

Due to the extreme heat advisory, all Exiles RFC outdoor activities for Tuesday, July 28, have been canceled.

The safety of our littlest players, coaches, volunteers, and families will always come first.

Please stay cool, stay hydrated, and limit time outdoors during the hottest part of the day. If you’re able, check in on elderly family members, friends, and neighbors to make sure they’re doing okay. Keep your pets indoors as much as possible, ensure they have plenty of fresh water, and remember that pavement can become dangerously hot for their paws.

Props, this is your annual reminder that you’re built for scrums, not heat indexes. Find some shade and drink some water.

The good news is that the forecast looks much more favorable for Thursday, and we fully expect Community Touch Rugby to go ahead as scheduled. We look forward to seeing everyone back on the pitch then.
