Model Magic Studios

Recently finished up my Trench Crusade Warband for Carcass Front. I really love the aesthetic of the Heretic Naval Raiders and I hope they continue to release minis for this faction. I think they nailed the look of old school scuba-pirates. I tried to lean hard into doing tons of weathering and rusting/ moss to really give them a look that shows they come from the ocean. I tried to do some water effects on the base and maybe I just didn’t do enough? But it turned out a little flatter than I was hoping for. Overall I’m pretty pleased with how good these turned out for being in a style I don’t really paint in much.

A WIP of the Sanguinor from Blood Angels. These new updated sculpts are really nice! I was really happy with how these wings turned out.

We are officially wrapped on Dragon Con and what a crazy weekend it was. We had a ton of people come though the line to paint a mini and nearly every workshop sold out. I was so busy running around I didn’t even get a chance to paint anything properly this year so enjoy this Leafeon I painted for Dejavudea 🤍🌸

“My name is Atriox and I am the last face you will ever see”. I decided to push myself a bit and lean into an NMM style for this model. I’ve been having a lot of fun with Halo Flashpoint lately.

First Space Marine of the new year! To be honest I was given this model and only asked to paint some hazard striping on the edges of the cloak to mimic some old BA artwork. I ended up getting a little carried away and added in some recess shading and highlights to basically finish the model sans basing.

Did a little repaint on this God of War controller holder. The owner didn’t like how the shield looked so I ended up repainting it with some black lining and highlights to add more definition in it. And I also repainted the sword and added some glow into it.

I forgot to post here but I completed all of my Spartans for I’ve been having a ton of fun with this game and loving the figures. I will admit some of the Spartan Edition Red/Blue models clearly had some casting issues but we worked through it. Shout out to the HaloDripfinite subreddit for inspiration!
