Some ministry moments feel immediate — a meal served, a need met, a prayer answered on the spot. Others take longer.
A relationship built over months. A community rebuilding after a disaster. A believer discipled one conversation at a time.
Galatians 6:9 (CSB): "Let us not get tired of doing good, for we will reap at the proper time if we don't give up."
This month, we're holding onto that promise. Every kit packed, every family served, every church equipped is a seed — and God is faithful to the harvest, even when we can't see it yet.
Wherever you're serving this October, keep going. The proper time is coming. 🌾

Celebrating what God is doing through willing volunteers! 🙌
More than 75 chances so far this year for SBDR to bring ‘Christ-like care’ | Baptist Press SBDR volunteers from 34 states have responded to 75 events this year, as of Sept. 1. This includes wildfires in Washington state and Texas, flooding in West Virginia, Texas and Colorado, tornadoes in the Midwest and Southeast, derecho (straight line) winds in Indiana and Ohio, and a hurricane in Haw...
This weekend, Channel 13 caught a glimpse of what it looks like when ordinary people say yes to living life on mission. 🧡
In Bowling Green, Ohio, Send Relief volunteers built beds for children who'd been sleeping on the floor. They repaired homes. They served meals. They cleared overgrown roadsides and cleaned up neighborhoods that needed some care.
But they didn't just do the work and leave. They stayed to listen. To pray with the people they met. To share the hope of Jesus with anyone who wanted to hear it.
That's the heart behind it all — not a program, not an event, but everyday believers choosing to live on mission right where they are.
You don't have to wait for a trip across the world to do this. There are needs and opportunities just like this near you, too. 🙏

It started with a box of food.
A church plant in West Englewood, Chicago, began providing food boxes to a local school. They showed up. Then they showed up again.
Over time, that consistency built trust. And eventually, the school offered the pastor something no one had planned for: space to rent for the church’s worship services.
A box of food became a relationship. A relationship built trust. And a church plant is putting down roots in its community.
This is what faithful generosity can help make possible.

Miss Khadija couldn't see the faces around her. But she could hear them — and she knew she hadn't been forgotten. 👁️🙏
That's where this story starts. It doesn't end there.
Swipe through Kampala: a woman cared for by name, a caregiver equipped to serve her neighbors, a well that ended a half-mile walk for water, and a church that became a place where no one is alone.
The numbers tell part of it: 48 people professed faith in Jesus during Serve Tour Kampala. A month later, 12 of them were baptized.
But really, this is a story about what happens when local churches show up for the people next door — with clean water, trained hands, elder care, and the hope of Christ.
Thank you for praying, giving, and serving alongside churches like these. Read the full story: go.sendrelief.org/kampala 🔗
Jill was lying on a hospital table, unable to breathe, listening to doctors say they were losing her.
And in that moment, one thought cut through everything else:
"Heaven or Hell — which one?"
She couldn't answer it. And that terrified her.
But Jill made it out of that hospital. And she went back to Lovewell — the ministry of our Ashland Ministry Center — where she had been hearing the gospel. And this time, she wasn't wrestling anymore.
Jill confessed her belief in Christ. She believed that Jesus lived the life she couldn't live, died the death she should have died, and rose victorious on the third day. And she committed her life to follow Him.
On Easter Sunday, they celebrated her baptism.
From death to life. Literally — and eternally.
This is why the Ashland Ministry Center exists. This is what bold compassion looks like when it stays, when it shows up week after week, when it creates a place where someone like Jill can keep coming back until the moment she's ready.
Thank you to everyone who supports this work. Without you, none of this is possible. 🙏

Two years of showing up. One knock on the door that changed everything.
McClendon Baptist Church had spent two years building a relationship with a woman in their community — Sunday school, worship, gospel conversations along the way.
During Serve Tour Monroe, two volunteers stopped at her door one more time. They shared the gospel again.
This time, she said yes.
"Today she was ready," said James Gardner of McClendon Baptist Church.
This is what Serve Tour makes possible — not a chance encounter, but momentum for relationships churches are already building. 🧡
