Wednesday has some good options for the middle of the week.

Check out The Exchange Food Truck Park at 2801 Duniven Circle to see which trucks have arrived, or call ahead and spend some time with the horses at Dove Creek Equine Rescue.

Six Car Pub & Brewery is hosting its final Party on the Patio of the season, with Piles of Potential playing from 6:30–8:30 p.m.

Tuesday is a good day to knock a few things off the list.

TSA PreCheck enrollment is happening at Rick Husband Amarillo International Airport from 9am-noon and 1–5 pm. While you’re out, stop by the Golden Spread Farmers Market, then get a Habanero Lime sparkling water at Water Still.

And for lunch, head to Pork N' Things BBQ and try their fried green tomatoes!

Saturday has a little bit of everything going on around Amarillo. Miles for Merrick is a 5K and 1-mile walk/run at the Town Club that helps raise awareness for lissencephaly pachygyria, a rare neurological disorder, with a portion of the proceeds benefiting the Turn Center.

If food is more your speed, the Route 66 Texas Chili Championship and Great Texas Panhandle Cook-Off is happening at Skooterz Bar & Grill, with chili cooks competing throughout the day and proceeds supporting BOOM Adventures. Families can also check out the grand opening of Ice Dinosaurs: The Lost World of the Alaskan Arctic at the Don Harrington Discovery Center. And if you’re ready for rides, games, and fair food, the Amarillo Tri-State Fair is in full swing.
