Over the past 24 hours, Texas county voter registrars across the state have received a flood of new voter registrations and updates to voter registration records submitted through the Texas Department of Public Safety. Some of these submissions date as far back as October 2025, but were not sent to Texas county voter registrars until this week. In Potter County, we received approximately 1,450 records to process as a result of a technological error at the state level that caused this major backlog. Potter County voters should be confident that county election officials are working around the clock to ensure valid voter registrations submitted in a timely manner before the deadline will be processed appropriately, despite the challenges and additional time that this backlog has created. We encourage Potter County voters to verify their registration status by visiting www.votetexas.gov or by contacting our office at (806) 379-2299 to verify that their current voter registration information is updated and on file ahead of the October 5th deadline.

A message from PanTeXas Deterrence, LLC President and General Manager Kelly Beierschmitt:
As we enter the final days of the fiscal year, I want to pause and recognize the tremendous work happening across Pantex and throughout the Nuclear Security Enterprise. This has been a demanding year with tight schedules and high expectations, and our teams have stepped up.
The work we do here matters to national security in a direct and meaningful way. Pantex plays a central role in maintaining the nation’s nuclear deterrent, which is one of the key components of the nuclear triad that helps keep our country safe.
Thanks to the skill and commitment of the Pantex workforce, including the National Nuclear Security Administration Pantex Field Office team who we work closely with, we continue to advance our mission with strength and excellence. With strong support from partners across the enterprise, we met at least 100 percent of our delivery goal every month this fiscal year and are projected to finish at 106 percent of our production plan while meeting every program deliverable.
This level of performance was made possible by five‑year lows in production downtime, quality defect rate, conduct of operations events, and number of safety incidents. This is not a coincidence. It reflects shared dedication across the entire enterprise.
Our results do not come from any one team or any one site. They come from steady, consistent collaboration. Our colleagues at the labs, plants, and sites have provided engineering support, test data, tooling and design updates, logistics coordination, and program leadership that kept production moving. Just as importantly, they responded quickly when we needed information or response to stay on schedule. Their contributions helped create the conditions that allow our frontline workforce to succeed.
There are more examples than I could list, but I want to highlight a few. The Kansas City National Security Campus supplied parts on or ahead of schedule for all programs, including the W76 Mk4B and W80‑4. Y-12 National Security Complex continued to reliably deliver canned subassemblies for the B61‑13 on or ahead of schedule. And our partners at Los Alamos National Laboratory, Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, and Sandia National Labs provided timely engineering authorizations that kept us moving and helped us resolve issues quickly.
To our partners across the enterprise and the broader complex, thank you for the support that makes this mission possible. To the entire Pantex team, whether you work directly in production, maintenance, engineering, security, logistics, training, administration, or any other part of the site, your work matters and is appreciated.
As we head into the final stretch of FY26, I am confident we will finish strong. More importantly, I am proud of what this team and this enterprise have accomplished together.
Thank you.
