We are starting off August strong! These 5 beautiful babies all had their freedom rides from Amarillo, Spearman and Dumas shelters this week! They will be making their way to Colorado this weekend in search of their forever homes!

🐾 Behind the Leash: Meet Alvin
If you've ever met Alvin, you know one thing right away...
He's probably the happiest, most positive person you'll ever meet.
Alvin originally joined Rebel as a foster. Like so many people, he wanted to help one animal.
Somewhere along the way, "just fostering" turned into so much more.
These days, if something needs to be done, there's a good chance Alvin is already doing it. He transports animals, fixes just about anything that breaks, helps at our events, tackles projects around the shop, and somehow always seems to show up exactly when we need him most.
But what I love most about Alvin isn't what he does.
It's how he makes every animal feel seen.
He's a dog guy at heart, but don't tell the cats that. 🖤 He makes time to take the dogs on individual walks, sits with them, talks to them, and reminds the shy ones that people can be kind. Somehow, every animal seems to know they're safe with him.
The best part?
I've never seen Alvin have a bad attitude.
Seriously. Never.
No matter what's gone wrong, he's smiling, encouraging everyone around him, and asking, "What do you need?"
People like Alvin are the reason Rebel keeps moving forward.
He's proof that you don't have to be the loudest person in the room to make the biggest difference. Sometimes all it takes is showing up, saying yes, and loving every animal like they're your own.
Alvin, thank you for every transport, every repair, every walk, every laugh, and every life you've helped change.
We're lucky you're part of the Rebel family. 🖤

We have been so grateful for the volunteers who have come to take our dogs out on Bark Breaks and getting cute pics/videos! The dogs have really enjoyed getting out of the kennels and getting to feel bonita! 😆
