We want more for our young people than simply making it through today. We want to help them build a future where they thrive, not just survive.
This week at The PLACE, Officer Blanco with the Amarillo Police Department spent time with our middle and high school students having an important conversation about choices, obeying the law, and how the decisions they make today can have lasting consequences for their future.
But the conversation wasn’t only about what not to do. He challenged them to think bigger:
What do you dream for your future? Who do you want to become? And are the choices you’re making today helping you get there?
We’re grateful for community members like Officer Blanco who are willing to show up, build relationships, answer questions, and invest in our kids.
At We Find in Love, we want our young people to know their future is worth thinking about, planning for, and working toward. Let’s help them thrive.

🎉 SHE’S 40! 🎉
Today we get to celebrate one of the people who keeps We Find in Love going every single day — Sara! 🥳👑
If you’ve spent much time at The PLACE, chances are you’ve seen Sara doing a little bit of everything: helping someone navigate a complicated situation, answering approximately 47 questions at once, keeping things organized, solving a problem no one else knows how to solve, and probably doing it all with an iced coffee nearby. 😂
Sara brings so much heart to WFiL. She cares deeply about the people who walk through our doors, and she has helped make The PLACE what we always hoped it would be: a place where people know they can come when they need a friend.
Today, though, we’re setting the paperwork and problem-solving aside for just a minute to say…
HAPPY 40TH BIRTHDAY, SARA! 💚🎂

Last week, a man walked into The PLACE from Missouri.
Yes… Missouri. 😳
Why was he in Amarillo?
He came to The PLACE because he needed help filing the paperwork to renew his green card.
Think about that for a minute. Someone traveled across state lines because they knew there was a place in Amarillo where they could walk through the door, sit down with someone they trusted, and get help navigating a complicated process.
And stories like his keep reminding us of something:
We Find in Love has to expand beyond the walls of The PLACE.
There are people who need trustworthy, accessible help who can’t drive to Amarillo. So we’ve been working on something that will allow us to take what we’ve learned here and reach people wherever they are.
👀 Big things are coming.
We can’t wait to show you what we’ve been building.

This year, we will be spending an extended time in the Middle East, coming alongside friends and ministries we’ve loved and supported for many years.
For security reasons, we won’t be sharing many details publicly—but we would love your prayers as we go. Pray for the family we are sending, for the people we’ll serve alongside, for meaningful relationships, and for God to use our time exactly as He intends.
If you’d like to receive more specific updates while we’re away or opportunities to get involved, send a message and we will share how you can join our prayer group.
Thank you for loving, praying for, and supporting us as we step into this next season. ❤️

Sometimes the most meaningful gift isn't something you can see—it's the ability to truly understand one another.
Thanks to the generosity of WellPoint, The PLACE has access to Language Line, allowing us to communicate clearly with friends from around the world in their own language.
Some conversations are practical. We can explain retirement plans, navigate healthcare, complete paperwork, or answer questions that are often confusing even for native English speakers.
But some conversations are simply about friendship.
Recently, I sat with a friend from Afghanistan as we talked about his wife and children, the joy of seeing them during his last visit home, and the memories they made together. Because we could understand one another, the conversation wasn't rushed or filled with guessing. It was personal. It was meaningful.
That's what Language Line makes possible.
At The PLACE, we believe every person deserves to be heard, understood, and known—not just served.
To our friends at WellPoint, thank you for investing in relationships. Your gift is helping us build deeper friendships across cultures, one conversation at a time. 🤍
Because everyone deserves a PLACE.

At We Find in Love, we believe our neighbors deserve safety, dignity, and the opportunity to build their lives in peace.
Thousands of Haitian families who have legally lived and worked in the U.S. for years are at risk of losing Temporary Protected Status (TPS) and being forced to return to dangerous conditions in Haiti.
Please take a moment to contact your senators and ask them to support S. 4814, legislation that would extend TPS protections for Haiti through 2029.
Every voice matters. Thank you for standing with refugees and immigrant families. ❤️
