Doggie Dude Ranch

🍂 Fall Allergies Aren’t Just for Humans! 🐾
Is your dog suddenly itching, licking, chewing their paws, or scratching more than usual? Seasonal allergens like grasses, weeds, pollen, and other environmental triggers can make fall an uncomfortable time for allergy-prone dogs.
Cytopoint® injections may be able to help!
Cytopoint is a veterinarian-administered injection designed to target itch associated with allergic and atopic dermatitis in dogs. One injection can provide relief for 4–8 weeks for many dogs, helping break the itch-and-scratch cycle and get them feeling comfortable again.
Watch for signs like:
🐾 Constant paw licking or chewing
🐾 Scratching and itching
🐾 Red or irritated skin
🐾 Rubbing the face or ears
🐾 Recurring skin or ear problems
If your dog seems extra itchy this fall, give Doggie Dude Ranch a call. We can help determine what’s causing the itch and whether Cytopoint is a good option for your pup.

🐾 A Quick Scheduling Reminder 🐾
Dr. Becky will be out of the office September 28 through October 4 while she travels to Africa.
During this time, all veterinary emergencies will be referred to Iowa State University. Please keep this in mind when planning appointments, medication refills, or other veterinary needs.
Thank you for your understanding, and we wish Dr. Becky safe travels! 🌍❤️

🐾 REJENSA® JOINT CARE 🐾
Cooler weather is on the way, and for some dogs, changes in routine and temperature can make those stiff joints seem a little more noticeable.
If your dog is slowing down, struggling to get up, hesitating on the stairs, or just isn’t moving like they used to, it may be time to talk about their joint health.
We recently brought Rejensa® Joint Care Chews into the clinic — and our clients have been LOVING the results!
Rejensa is a once-daily joint supplement featuring Gluco Blu®, an advanced form of glucosamine designed to support healthy joints, mobility and function.
🐶 Great for senior dogs
🐶 Active & working dogs
🐶 Dogs showing signs of stiffness or reduced mobility
🐶 Breeds prone to joint problems
🐶 Dogs already on a joint-health management plan
And one of our favorite parts? No loading dose required!
Think your dog could benefit from a little extra joint support? Stop in or give Doggie Dude Ranch a call and ask us about Rejensa!

🌍 Dr. Becky is Heading to Africa! ❤️

From September 28 through October 4, Dr. Becky will be traveling to Africa! She’s hoping to take a little extra love and support from our community along with her!

She will be bringing much-needed supplies for local women and children, and we’d love your help filling her bags. We are collecting donations at Doggie Dude Ranch before her trip.

Items needed may include:
• Toiletries & personal care items
• Feminine hygiene products
• School supplies
• Children’s essentials
• Other small, easy-to-pack necessities

Monetary donations are also greatly appreciated and will be used to purchase additional needed supplies.

If you’d like to contribute, please drop your donation off at Doggie Dude Ranch before September 25.

Every little bit helps, and we’re excited to see what our amazing community can send along with Dr. Becky! ❤️🌍

Today, we pause to remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and to honor the bravery of the first responders, service members, and everyday Americans who stepped forward in the face of tragedy.

We remember. We honor. We will never forget.

What a wild summer it’s been - and we’ve had so much fun!
As summer winds down and back-to-school season kicks into high gear, life gets BUSY.
🍂 Remember: fleas and ticks don’t disappear with summer. These pesky parasites can stay active well into the fall, so keeping your pets protected is still important.
Need to stock up on flea & tick prevention or get your pet caught up on their yearly care?
