We were honored to welcome back Dr. Manjit Misra as he returned to Iowa State to receive the George Washington Carver Distinguished Service Award from the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
Dr. Misra earned his Ph.D. from Iowa State in 1978 and went on to lead the Seed Science Center for 32 years, making a lasting impact on seed science, agriculture, and the people he worked alongside.
In 2023, he was appointed by President Biden to serve as Director of USDA-NIFA, continuing his leadership and service to agriculture on a national level.
Congratulations, Dr. Misra, on this well-deserved honor! We’re proud to call you a part of the Seed Science Center family.
