Sporting OC

Sporting OC we will be playing Week #3 of the FALL/WINTER Season on Sunday, Oct. 4th, 2026 against LAZARO CARDENAS in BETSY ROSS PARK (MANCHESTER & SANTA ANA) at 9:30 a.m. (please be there at 9:00 a.m., parking is VERY limited). We will need EVERYONE to be there early. We are playing a SOLID team.
Our 2-5 defeat to OC DESLUVIO (brace from JOSÉ MIGUEL BONILLA) was humiliating. We struggled on all phases of the game and simply CANNOT happen again. We need to step up and bounce back or else is going to be a pretty long season
New season. New mentality. Fresh & clean slate.
Let’s be fired up, and ready to go as we cannot give away any handicaps. Let’s do this! The season flows at a quick rate.
Every match matters. Especially in the early portion of the season.
As we’ve seen in the past, there is no margin of error for “slow starters”. We are capable of great things when we have FULL PERSONNEL and a POSITIVE ATTITUDE. The !
For this Sunday we will NEED:
*** EXACT REFEREE MONEY.
•Referee fee is EXACTLY $10 per player for each game. Keep in mind that with the start of the new season, we all need to chip in $10 for team registration, and $35 for the new uniform which we will be launching this week.
• We require full compromise and commitment from everyone, whoever joins please do it for more than two games. We really need to make something out of this season. Having a large roster and only have at most 16 people show up for the meaningful games is not condoned. Those who can’t make at least half of the games, please let me know.
WE WILL ALL NEED:
• POSITIVE ATTITUDE (MOST IMPORTANT ONE OF THEM ALL). We're not professional gentlemen. There is no need to be degrading our teammates when things aren't clicking.
• Let's be competitive all the way to the end.
• We need EVERYONE who is COMMITTED to be there ON TIME for proper warm-ups, set up the nets and have proper planning.
• UNEXCUSED absences will no longer be tolerated.
• PLEASE keep in mind that we will be wearing our:
• Black & white striped shirt with orange typography.
• Solid black shorts.
• Pink socks in observation of Breast Cancer Awareness Month 🎀 (which will be provided. Quantities are limited).
