Calvin For Alaska

I've seen my fair share of damaged or vandalized campaign signs over the years, but I have to hand it to whoever got creative with this one recently. No harm done, just a fresh pair of (admittedly, somewhat unsettling) googly eyes keeping a watch on the neighborhood. Thanks for keeping the campaign trail entertaining, Anchorage!

Early and absentee voting has officially begun! The deadline to request an absentee ballot for the Primary Election is Saturday, August 8th.

I spent the last day of July on the Kenai dipnetting with my dad. It was the perfect way to close out the month, and a great reminder of how blessed we are to live in Alaska. Yet, at the same time, I can't help but reflect on how we continue to see fewer and fewer young people choosing to build a life here. The reality is, despite all the grandeur of Alaska, without good schools, access to childcare, and economic opportunities, our young people won't stay here. Our kids deserve every reason to make their future right here at home. Fixing these foundational issues won't be easy, but I'm committed to continue working with anyone, regardless of party, who is ready to invest in our schools, families, and economy.

We're a bit behind schedule this year given the multiple special sessions called by the governor, but we're finally getting our signs up around the district. If you'd like to host a larger 4x8 sign (or a smaller yard sign), let us know and we'll be happy to get one to you. Just drop a comment below or text me at 907-240-8986

As a parent, I'm always looking for ways to be more efficient. That's why this year we're debuting the CFABS (the CalvinForAlaska Bike Stroller) as part of our 2026 campaign strategy. With two high-visibility flags and a couple of loud kids ready to turn heads, we think we're onto something. Let us know what you think when you see us riding by!

🚨 It’s official: I have filed for reelection! 🚨

It has been the honor of a lifetime to represent my friends and neighbors in House District 12. While we have made progress, there is still so much critical work ahead of us.

I am running to continue tackling the issues that matter most to our community: lowering the high cost of energy, addressing our education funding challenges, protecting access to the ballot box, and building a resilient fiscal plan for our state's future.

Thank you for your continued trust, support, and partnership. Let’s keep moving forward together!

As I drop thank you cards in the mailbox on this brisk winter day, I am feeling grateful for the many supporters who fuel our work.

A huge, heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who came out to join us last night! It was hands down the best fundraiser I've had to date, and I am simply blown away by your generosity and care. We make real progress as a community when we come together, and last night's event gave me great hope for the future and what we can accomplish together. Thank you for your support!

Special thanks must go to our gracious hosts, Chris Constant and Austin Mahan; to my family, Doug, Mary, Greg, Rebecca, and Anna; to my amazing wife, Heather; and of course, to my many, many co-hosts and constituents who worked tirelessly to make this event such a huge success. I am deeply grateful!
