A special moment and a rare honor! Congratulations to our Business Manager, A.J. “Joey” Merrick II on presenting his father, Brian Merrick with the LiUNA 50-Year Gold Card, recognizing 50 consecutive years of membership in Laborers’ Local 341.

An incredible milestone and a proud moment for their family and our union. 50 years of dedication, brotherhood, and Laborers’ history!

We’re proud to share that delegates at LIUNA’s 27th International Convention approved a resolution to ramp up safety and health walkthroughs on LIUNA jobsites and bolster reporting around serious injuries on the job. These efforts will help the LHSFNA identify emerging hazards and focus resources where they’re needed most to better protect our LIUNA Brothers and Sisters.

Today, delegates at LIUNA’s 27th International Convention approved a resolution to formally expand LEAN LIUNA initiatives across all nine LIUNA Regions. This commitment will help bring even more support for mental health, substance use and other types of adversity to LIUNA members and their families. The LHSFNA is proud to be leading the way in expanding peer support within LIUNA and fighting to end the stigma of asking for help.

Resolution passed. Now it’s time to get to work.

LECET will continue expanding market opportunities, strengthening contractor partnerships, and supporting recruitment and retention as LIUNA builds toward one million members.
