Welcome back Marko Cheseto to Anchorage RunFest! He will be inducted into the 2027 Seawolf Hall of Fame for Men's Cross Country/Track & Field next year. He will be hosting a free shakeout run on August 15, then be one of the Healthy Futures Heros at the Providence Alaska Children's Hospital Kids 2K, and the speaker at the Pasta Feed.

The Providence Alaska Children's Hospital Kids 2K on August 15, 2026 is a free race for all children 12 and under. Parents are allowed to run with their kids, but all kids must be registered before race day to get a bib and hat. Register- https://runsignup.com/Race/AK/Anchorage/AnchorageRunFest

Scott Stanley will be running his 1st marathon at the Humpy’s Marathon! He is happy to have recently moved back to Anchorage from Texas, working for Conoco Phillips Alaska. Scott's 1st half marathon was in 2012. He refound his interest in running in Houston after moving there from Norway. Since moving back to Anchorage, Scott has joined the Anchorage Running Club and Coach Rousey's marathon training group. Scott's long run this week was 22 miles! Looks like he is ready for Humpy’s Marathon! Good luck Scott!
