Congratulations go out to the Anderson High School Marching Highlanders for their victory against 34 competitors at the 2026 Indiana State Fair Band Day on Friday night.

Congratulations to our Anderson Marching Highlanders, who took FIRST PLACE tonight at the Indiana State Fair Band Day Finals!

What an incredible accomplishment for these talented young men and women. The countless hours of practice, dedication, discipline, and teamwork paid off on one of the biggest stages in the state.

You represented Anderson with excellence today, and you gave our entire community something to be proud of.

Today marked Anderson’s 70th consecutive Band Day appearance, and an incredible 17th championship victory! The Anderson Marching Highlanders hold the record for the longest-running streak of consecutive Band Day appearances and the most championships won by any marching band in Indiana. What an exceptional accomplishment and an incredible legacy!
