Fall is here, and so is the whirlwind of a new school year. Packed days, long lists, tired evenings. It's a lot.

But that busyness is proof of momentum. Our scholars are stepping up, stretching their minds, and turning goals into reality.

The hard work isn't in the way of progress. It is the progress.

Thank you to our scholars, staff, and families for bringing your heart to campus every day. Let's embrace this season and celebrate every victory along the way.

This month in Anderson, the village showed up!!

1. When the schedule didn't work, a scholar sister did. One mom's clinical rotations started before daycare opened its doors. Instead of missing hours or falling behind, another scholar in the program stepped up to drive her daughter to school. No red tape, no waiting on a program to fix it. Just moms taking care of moms.

2. A repair bill almost broke the budget. Most of our scholars are driving high-mileage cars because reliable transportation is a luxury, not a given. On a tight budget, one unexpected repair can mean choosing between fixing the car and paying rent. This month, emergency funds stepped in so a scholar mom didn't have to choose.

3. Junior Scholars deserve to be kids too. Dance class. Music lessons. Sports leagues. These things are often out of reach for our families financially, until community partners fill the gap and make sure it's not just moms working toward a better future, but their kids getting to experience joy right now.

None of this happens without the village. Thank you for being part of it!!

The wins this month at Anderson Scholar House are a testament to what determination and community can do together.

One of our scholars officially graduated from her LPN program. Getting there meant overcoming a long commute, serious health challenges, and uncertainty around her grant funding, and she pushed through all of it with resilience that inspires everyone around her.

We also saw our community show up for one another in the best way. When summer classes and long clinical shifts threatened to derail one scholar's routine, her fellow Scholar Moms stepped up to make sure her child had safe transportation to ABA therapy every single day. That's what this village is all about.

And we're celebrating two scholars who officially accepted offers into competitive degree programs they've spent years working toward. One is starting her Bachelor's at Ball State, and the other is entering a highly selective program at Ivy Tech.

Every one of these wins was hard-earned, and we couldn't be prouder.

Picture doing the math on student loans just to make tuition work, then hearing the words: it's completely covered.

That's the moment one of our Anderson scholars just lived. No more borrowing against her future. No more weight pressing down while she tries to focus on school and raise her daughter. Just room to breathe and pour herself fully into what comes next.

We are so proud of you, scholar. Keep shining bright.

Last month's Evening of Fellowship was a special night, we are still filled to the brim with community and energy!

If you were there, you know that our Junior Scholars didn't appear until the very end. Behind the scenes we had a team making the night extra special for our youngest scholars and we have a few people to thank.

Thank you to Muncie Children's Museum (facebook.com/MuncieMuseum) for staying open late so our junior scholars could play and explore. The smiles on their faces in these pictures say it all!
