What’s Anderson Public Library been up to lately?! We reached college students for Library Card Sign-Up Month at Anderson University, popped up at local spots around town like First Friday, Tienda & Reposteria Mary, and the Community Center at AFC, hosted art and STEM programs for children and adults, led digital school card trainings, and more! As our building upgrades continue, change is happening on our first floor to make your library experience faster, easier, and simpler!

To complete necessary (and very loud!) saw-cutting, Anderson Public Library will be closed this Friday, October 2. Closing for the day allows construction crews to work quickly and safely without the extreme noise.

Please note that our scheduled Toddler Tunes program for Friday will be rescheduled to a later date. If you need in-person services on Friday, Lapel Branch Library remains open during normal business hours.

Reminder! This change goes into effect October 1!

Beginning October 1, a PIN will be required in addition to your library card number when accessing the Libby app, the Indiana Digital Library/OverDrive website, and the Kanopy app.

By default, your PIN is set to the last four digits of your library card number (or the custom PIN you created). When the change goes into effect, you will simply be prompted to enter it when signing in.

Enjoy a creative afternoon close to home with a family pass to Anderson Museum of Art - free with your library card! Passes provide free admission for two adults (children and students are always free) and check out for three days on a first-come, first-served basis.

As an extra special highlight, starting October 2, Anderson Museum of Art presents "The Funny Pages." This comic strip exhibition celebrates Hoosier cartoonists and features work from over 40 Indiana-related artists, including Garfield creator Jim Davis, Anderson’s own "Supr Dee" Parson, and Peanuts creator Charles M. Schulz.
