Authenticity: Leading Like Jesus in a Fake World
Lead Like Jesus-part 4
September 27, 2026

1. Jesus is authentic in identity (John 18:36-37)

Authentic integrity in high road leadership:

• Courage of conviction—standing firm in truth even when pressured to compromise.

• Clarity of purpose—knowing why you are called and aligning decisions with that mission.

• Integrity in action—choosing what is right over what is popular because identity shapes behavior.
2. Jesus is authentic in motives (Matthew 6:1)

Authentic motives in high road leadership:

• Purity of intention--doing the right things for the right reasons, not for applause, appearances, or personal advantage.

• Consistency of character—leading the same way in private as in public because motives are rooted in truth, not performance.
• Courageous integrity—making decisions from conviction even when costly, choosing obedience to God over the approval of people.

3. Jesus is authentic in consistency (Luke 4:16-22)

Authentic consistency in high road leadership:

• Steadfast character—being the same person in every room, under every pressure.

• Predictable integrity—making decisions that consistently align with values and mission.
• Habitual faithfulness—showing up with the same devotion, discipline, and obedience over time.

Declaration of Authenticity

I will stand in authentic identity, rooted in who Christ says I am and not in insecurity or comparison.

I will lead with authentic motives, choosing purity of intention over performance or image.

I will walk in authentic consistency, becoming the same person in every space and every season.

I will live with authentic integrity, aligning my actions with conviction, courage, and truth.
