Astra Security is a local, veteran-owned security company protecting Iowa homes and businesses statewide. We guarantee your satisfaction every step of the way.
We provide installation and ongoing support for residential and commercial burglar alarms, security cameras/CCTV, and access control systems. From your first security consultation to professional installation and ongoing monitoring, Astra Security is fully committed to protecting you, your family, your business, and your home. As a local, veteran owned security company, we provide trusted home security systems and business security systems for customers across Iowa. In Astra you will find a security partner that is secure, local, and completely professional. Our owner has served with the Department of Homeland Security securing our nation’s borders and is a seven year military veteran of both the US Army and the US Air Force. With a bachelor’s degree in Criminology and Criminal Justice and additional study in Electrical Technology, he brings a unique combination of real world security experience and hands-on technical expertise to every project. That background shapes the way we design and install security camera systems, monitored alarm systems, access control, and smart security solutions for Iowa homes and businesses. We follow strict processes, use quality equipment, and focus on doing the job right so your system performs when it matters most. When you have questions, our trained, professional staff is always ready to help. Do not trust your loved ones’ safety or your business security to anyone else.

Thank you to everyone who donated during our Customer Appreciation Open House!
With your help, we collected 387 items for the Ankeny Service Center, along with $117.22 in Venmo donations.
Astra matched the donations, and earlier this week Oliver and Alex dropped everything off at the Ankeny Service Center, along with a check for $621.44!
We really appreciate everyone who helped us give back to our community. Thank you for making this possible!

What a great day! ❤️
A huge THANK YOU to everyone who joined us today for our Astra Security Customer Appreciation Event! We loved getting the chance to visit with so many of our customers, friends, and families and show you a little more of what happens behind the scenes at Astra.
There was plenty of fun with office tours, a bounce house, Kona Ice, face painting, cookies, and of course… lots of BBQ!
A special shoutout to Mike, who spent the night at Astra last night smoking the brisket and pulled pork and also made the mac & cheese, beans, and sauces all from scratch! And a huge thank you to Anthony and his wife, Shelby, for making all of the delicious cookies!
We also collected donations for the Ankeny Service Center, and Astra will be matching donations up to $1,000. We’re continuing to collect through September 18, so we’ll share our final donation total once everything is counted!
Most importantly, thank you to everyone who took time out of their Saturday to spend it with us. We truly appreciate your support of our local business and the trust you place in the Astra team to help keep the people and places you care about safe.
Thank you for being part of the Astra family! 💙
