Our 11th graders traded the classroom for Harpers Ferry, WV, where one of the highlights of their fall Outdoor Education trip was whitewater rafting on the Shenandoah and Potomac Rivers. 🚣

From navigating the rapids and working in committees to plan different aspects of the trip, students put collaboration and leadership into action throughout the three-day adventure.

Not a bad way to strengthen class bonds as they embark on their penultimate year at Key!

New location. New course. Same Key tradition! 👟

Due to exciting campus improvements, Key’s annual 5K & Family Fun Run will take place this year at Fusco Athletic Park on Sunday, October 18!

The new location means a new challenge: our 5K will take runners across Key’s scenic cross-country course, while the one-mile Family Fun Run offers a flat, paved route perfect for all ages. After the run, stick around for food trucks and mingle with the Key community.

This afternoon, our Upper School community gathered for a moment of silence in remembrance of September 11.

Afterward, brought a different kind of community moment: Upper School Field Games! 💙

Advisories went head-to-head in a little friendly competition featuring co****le, trivia, tug-of-war, lawn bowling, and plenty of team spirit.

Last week, we celebrated the ceremonial groundbreaking of Key’s new Gateway Building, an exciting investment in our School’s future. The new building will provide dedicated learning spaces for our growing Lower School, create a welcoming new entrance for prospective families, and add administrative space to better support our community.

Thank you to County Executive Steuart Pittman for joining us and sharing remarks, and to our entire Board of Trustees for celebrating this important milestone.
