A beautiful day for local champions of this program, like Jacques Gilbert, Mayor of Apex, NC!

Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics North Carolina is working towards a HUGE goal.

The Apex Police Department is committed to Special Olympics NC to help raise $2.5 million dollars.

To date the Apex Police Department has raised $30,489.45.

Their 10th annual Day Behind (handlebars) Motorcycle Ride on Saturday Sept 26th and Golf Tournament on Monday Sept 28th will help move our department up the leader board towards the $2.5 million goal.

Annually, more than 110,000 dedicated and compassionate law enforcement members carry the “Flame of Hope,” symbolizing courage and the celebration of diversity, uniting communities around the globe. Here in North Carolina, nearly 2,000 law enforcement personnel support the NC LETR annually! Since its inception, LETR has raised over $1.1 billion worldwide with over $37 million being raised for Special Olympics North Carolina.
