On Saturday, November 7, 2026, a Community Baby Shower will take place at Apex Friendship High School, offering a free and welcoming event designed to support, encourage, and connect families as they prepare to welcome a new baby.
The goal is to support 250 expectant mothers with baby essentials such as car seats, diapers, wipes, bottles, clothing, blankets, diaper bags, baby care items, and more. Families will also have access to maternal and family health resources, parenting education, local healthcare providers, and community organizations.
More than just a distribution event, this will be a day to celebrate growing families, ask questions, connect with resources, and build community. 💛
This event is made possible through a partnership between Apex First Baptist Church, The North Carolina Coalition to End Homelessness, and The Apex First Foundation.

El pasado 15 de septiembre vivimos uno de esos encuentros que te recuerdan por qué hacemos este trabajo. 🗓️❤️🌱
Comenzamos con música utilizada como terapia colectiva,🎶🧘♀️ creando un espacio para conectar, agradecer y simplemente estar juntos. 🤍✨
Mientras los niños hacían arte, jugaban fútbol y compartían, 🎨⚽👦👧 las familias pudieron acceder a recursos, alimentos, frutas, verduras frescas, pañales y otros artículos esenciales. 📦🍎🥦👶
Pero para nosotros lo más poderoso fue ver la riqueza que ya existe dentro de nuestra propia comunidad:

🤗 Solidaridad ...y tantas manos dispuestas a ayudar. 🤝❤️
Eso es Connecting Community.
💫 No se trata solamente de llevar recursos; se trata de crear un espacio donde las personas sientan esta solidaridad, se sientan acompañadas, escuchadas y dispuestas a ayudar. 🫂🗣️💖

🇺🇸💖 What happens when a community comes together not only to receive, but also to share, heal, and feel supported? 🤝✨
On September 15, we experienced one of those gatherings that reminds you exactly why we do this work. 🗓️❤️🌱
We began with music used as a form of collective therapy, 🎶🧘♀️ creating a space to connect, give thanks, and simply be together. 🤍✨
While the children made art, played soccer, and spent time with one another, 🎨⚽👦👧 families were able to connect with resources, receive food, fresh fruits, vegetables, diapers, and other essential items. 📦🍎🥦👶
But for me, the most powerful part was seeing the richness that already exists within our own community:

That is Connecting Community.

• FREE for uninsured women (who haven't had a mammogram in the last 12 months).
• Private screenings taking less than 15 minutes, using advanced 3D imaging technology.
