In 2021, while working as a consultant for nonprofit organizations, I traveled through 9 rural counties in North Carolina creating a resource map. 💼🗺️📍
I knocked on door after door. 🚪 Families were inside—I could see toys—but many never opened. 🧸🏠🗝️
That's when I realized the problem wasn't only a lack of resources, but also a lack of trust. 💡🤝
People needed connection, inclusion, and safe spaces where they felt heard. ❤️
That's how Connecting Community was born. 🌱 A place to build trust, create opportunities, and help people feel seen and supported. 🫂🎧🌟
Today, thanks to our sponsors and donors, we provide diapers, fresh vegetables, information, and family activities. 🙌🎒🥕
We also offer soccer, movement, Zumba, and crafts for children and youth. ⚽💃🎨 When we connect people, we strengthen our community. 🔗💪

We are grateful for the support of Apex Sunrise Rotary Club they have trusted this organization since our beginning and their contribution will help to impact more families next soccer event on Tuesday August 18th in a mobile home park in Apex where we will be distributing hot meals, soccer clinic and crafts for the whole families and connecting with resources.
