Germani Design

A little moment from yesterday’s installation. Anthropologie wall mural paired with a delicate wallpapered ceiling and of course Custom drapery. 🤩
I love a room that isn’t afraid of pattern. Each layer adds its own personality, but together it feels warm, collected, and completely one of a kind. 💚

Wallpaper is back — and Powder rooms are the perfect place for it. ✨
This weeks first install for Lynn Bomberowitz | Interior Designer - another stunning Thibaut wallpaper - Spring Garden in Spa Blue.
Such a beautiful way to bring color, pattern, and personality into a small space. 🌿

A little pillow with a LOT of personality. 🌴💗

This is Dolce Vita by Mind the Gap 👉🏻bold, colorful, slightly crazy, and completely impossible to ignore.

At around $$$ “don’t sit on this pillow” a yard, it’s definitely a splurge fabric 😳, but when the print is this much fun, sometimes one statement piece is all you need.

The dogs. The palms. The pottery. The color. I love all of it.

✨Let’s talk about Alterations! 😎I’m not one to judge where you buy your drapery. Custom, Semi-Custom, Ready-Made, Online… there’s a place for all of it.

But for the love of everything pretty… it still has to FIT. 😂

Trust me, I understand that design budgets are very real, and much of that budget is often used for the larger furniture pieces. But believe it or not, the windows frame the entire room. They should never become the forgotten final detail.

Ready-made panels can work beautifully. So can semi-custom and some of those online options. But the correct length, fullness, hardware placement, alterations, and installation are what make them look intentional.

These four rooms are my proof that the panels don’t always need to be replaced! They just needed my magic touch with a few simple adjustments.

Just remember the windows when you’re planning that budget. A beautiful room always deserves a beautiful finish. ✨

This dining room is still in the early stages, but the new panels are already transforming the space. The soft, organic pattern of the Aubin-Mineral by Romo works beautifully with the room’s architecture and blue-green walls.

A lovely Lynn Bomberowitz | Interior Designer project and there’s much more to come! ✨

A little sunshine fresh off the worktable. 🍊💙
Finished and delivered these custom cushions today… and I have to say they are impossible to look at without smiling.
The cheerful Spoonflower fabric couldn’t be more perfect, such a fun way to bring a little color and personality into the house!

Sometimes the best compliment has nothing to do with the draperies themselves. 💙
After I installed these custom panels, the homeowner looked around the room and said:

“I can’t believe how much more beautiful the view out of my windows is with the draperies.
I never thought they could make this big of a difference.”

And that is exactly what beautifully designed window treatments can do.
They don’t just dress the windows, they frame the view, soften the architecture, and completely change the way a room feels.

These custom pleated draperies were fabricated in Colefax and Fowler’s Belvedere, bringing just enough pattern, softness and color into this beautiful bedroom while still allowing the view outside to be part of the room.

Absolutely LOVE this little showstopper. 💙🌺🪷

It’s just one Roman shade… but that little thing completely steals the room and demands everyone’s attention!
The bold botanical fabric paired with a Greek key trim creates just the right amount of contrast without overwhelming the room.

Some people find an old beat-up Wicker chair… then they give it to me. 😂
I strip it down, repair it, paint it, build new cushions, upholster it, and somehow convince myself everything will turn out great! 😎

This one required a LOT of patience, a few choice words, and maybe… I should get that tetanus shot after all.😅

But this is exactly why I love what I do. Taking something forgotten and turning it into a one-of-a-kind piece that will look amazing in that beautiful new Beach Home. 🌊🏖️

Before ➡️ After

How about that “After”…

… Before…it has been through it!

… no saving here

But with some fun custom designed fabric by

… and a few coats of paint this baby gets a few more trips around the sun! ☀️

✨From family room to Guest retreat.
This walk-out basement was designed to be an extension of the home’s living space, and when family visits, it easily transforms into a comfortable guest suite.

The oversized patio door called for custom drapery that could do both: soften the room and operate effortlessly across the entire opening.
Every panel was custom fabricated with carefully planned fullness and pleat spacing so they stack neatly when open while providing full coverage when closed.

✨Because custom isn’t just about how it looks… it’s about how it functions. 💕
