We're going to have a lot of hungry people after walking these dogs.

A big reminder to save those shoes that your kids are growing out of.

It makes such a tremendous difference for the dogs and the people involved.

It doesn't clog up the landfills, it gives people an opportunity at a career for repairing shoes.

It helps us continue the work that we do for the medical and behavioral cases that come in.

I want to give a big shout out to Sandra Crase and Becky Gillis for investing so much time and love into making this happen.

It is such an amazing assistance that changes the lives of so many dogs.

Hello everyone! Our next shoe drive starts immediately. We pretty much do this year around. So please keep saving those shoes!!! 🙂. Our latest check was for $1,172.50, so combined with the $1,310.00 August check, that means the most recent shoe drive earned $2,482.50! Thank you to everyone who helped in any way! A huge THANK YOU to Becky Gillis for processing and storing all of the shoes!!! ❤️🐾

We can't continue the work without funding for so many cases. Everything is getting more expensive and makes it more difficult for rescues to maintain. Having such wonderful team members and volunteers as well as donations of the shoes really keeps us above water.
It allows us to continue helping the community.

🐾 Calypso (aka Cali Sue) is STILL waiting! 🐾

Now 5 months old, Cali Sue has grown into such an amazing little girl—and we really don’t understand how someone hasn’t scooped her up yet! ❤️

She’s smart, confident, playful and incredibly affectionate. She has a wonderfully independent side and is perfectly happy entertaining herself, but the second you’re ready for some love, she’s right there for hugs, kisses and serious snuggle time. 🥰

Cali Sue has been working hard at being the very best girl:

Rehome needed

My apologies as I misunderstood. It is only the one dog that is looking to be rehomed. That would be Boone.

It seems he is having issues with a child in the home. So best for placement without young kids.

Also his breed would do best with a large area to run

Boone | Male | 6 years old | Birthday: July 1, 2020 | Red Heeler/Yellow Lab mix (believed to be)

Boone is a sweet, handsome boy with a big heart and an even bigger love for his people. He can be shy and reserved when meeting someone new, but once he gets comfortable with you, his true personality comes out. After that first interaction, he becomes a total lover boy who loves curling up on the couch and being close to his people.

Boone loves going on walks and playing fetch, but he is also a professional lounger. 😂 If you let him, he would happily sleep the entire day away!

He is neutered, fully potty trained, and knows his commands, including sit, stay, wait, and fetch. Bailey is also spayed and fully potty trained, and both dogs have been raised with these basic manners and routines.

Boone has never bitten anyone, but we want to be completely transparent about something important. Since having our daughter, we have noticed that Boone will give warning growls when she gets too close to his personal comfort zone. He has communicated that he is uncomfortable, and we believe it is important to respect those warnings rather than put him in a situation where he feels he needs to defend himself. Because of this, we feel Boone would be happiest and safest in a home without young children, or with older/grown children who understand and respect a dog’s boundaries and warning signs.

Boone is also very bonded with his sister, Bailey, our 3-year-old Black Lab. They have grown up together and have a special relationship. Our hope would be for them to find a home together if possible, although we completely understand that taking on two dogs isn’t realistic for every family. Their well-being is what matters most to us.

Boone is not a bad dog. He is a sweet, sensitive boy who needs a home that understands him, respects his boundaries, and allows him the time to feel comfortable. Once he trusts you, you get to see the goofy, cuddly, loving dog that we know and adore.

Our biggest hope is to find Boone a home where he can feel safe, understood, and loved for the rest of his life. ❤️
