We still need dozens more trunks to make Trunk or Treat a fun and festive time for all of our kiddos, plus 7 more people to make sloppy joes for the crowd.

Have a trunk? Sign up to decorate one! Not a trunk person? Consider signing up to make sloppy joes. Every little bit helps make this event possible!

And if you’d rather donate treats, there is a donation bucket in the Narthex where you can drop off trinkets or treats anytime.

What a wonderful Rally Sunday celebration we shared! It was great to see everyone who came out for worship and the picnic - and thanks to everyone who worked so hard to make it all happen.

Hello friends, this is Pastor Katherine. The 25th Anniversary of September 11th has invited much remembrance, reflection, and prayer. I wanted to share a prayer from one of my former colleagues, the late Rev. Dr. Paul Stiffler. He prayed this in worship the Sunday after the attacks. It was well before I served alongside him - I was in my senior year of college in 2001 - but I came across it on the 20th anniversary, and have held onto it since.

I invite you to light a candle tonight, and join me in this prayer.

"O God of righteousness and peace, throughout the world your people bow their heads and open their hearts to you. The dreadful day of destruction still smolders within us. It is as though it will never cease to burn. We need your Holy Spirit to guide us and the path of Jesus Christ to lead us. Let not our hearts be calloused and hardened so that we become like those with venomous hate. Grant your word to be heard above all the words spoken, your wisdom to lead beyond all earthly wisdom, your justice to rise above revenge. Touch our hearts on this day, in the name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen."

This Labor Day, we give thanks for the many people whose work, dedication, and service help strengthen our families, communities, and world. From those who work behind the scenes to those who serve others every day, we are grateful for the gifts and contributions each person brings.

As a church community, may we continue to honor the dignity of work, care for one another, and remember that we are called to use our time and talents in service to others.
