Logan #117, Aiden #17, and Landon #1 are trading their individual karts for one shared ride and six hours of racing!

These three are ready to take on a new challenge together! It's going to take teamwork, determination, and a whole lot of laps to make it to the checkered flag. We can't wait to see what they can do! 💪🏻🏁

We need the day to rest, unpack, clean up the mud, and transition back over to local racing for our next full race weekend- packed with two BIG events 👀!

🏁 MIDWEST MAXXDADDY WEEKEND — FAIRBURY AMERICAN LEGION SPEEDWAY 🏁

The best of the Midwest showed up… and so did some of the best from all over the country- totaling 26 karts from 10 different states 🇺🇸

Friday night was all about preparing for Saturday’s MaxxDaddy events, so we jumped into JR1 Heavy to get some valuable track time.

Mother Nature had other plans. 🌧️ Rain delayed practice and threw a wrench into our tire-prepping plans, but we kept working and adjusting.

After two rounds, we were sitting P8 in practice. With only 14 karts making the A-Feature, plus 4 more transferring through the B-Main.

Then came qualifying…

Landon went out early, which meant we had to sit and watch the times climb after his run. 😬 Talk about nerve-wracking!

When the final kart took the checkered flag on qualifying, we finally got the news we were hoping for…

P14 — WE MADE THE A-MAIN, by the skin of his teeth 🦷🙌🔥

It was a close one, but that’s exactly what we came to Fairbury to do — race with the best and earn our spot in the show! 🏁⚡️

But it was already going to be a LONG night…

Landon finally hit the track at 12:56 AM! 😴

Starting P14 of 18, he brought it home P13, putting 20 laps on old tires as we saved our best rubber for Saturday’s MaxxDaddy events.

The kart definitely wasn't turning the way we needed it to, but Landon wheeled the thing the best he could for 20 laps on a BIG CAR TRACK. 💪⚡️

By the time we cleaned the mud off everything and made it back to the hotel for a quick nap, it was 2:30 AM.

Alarm: 6:30 AM.

We cleaned up, loaded up, headed back to the track by 8AM, unloaded, got set up and started prepping tires…

…and then…

🌧️ MORE RAIN. 🌧️

THE MAXXDADDY WAS CANCELED. 😞

Our Laukaitis Racing Inc engine and tires were ready, and Landon was ready to run some great laps, hopefully make the shows again, and was hoping for a better race battle/finish.

But unfortunately, Mother Nature wins again.

We want to give a HUGE THANK YOU to the Maxxis Midwest Team fror hosting such a prestigious event and to the Fairbury American Legion Speedway crew for all the hard work preparing the track on Friday, and to our track buddies for the hospitality. We wouldn't want to endure this wet & muddy ride with anyone else 😆 Caffeine definitely helps ☕️😵‍💫

Saturday didn't go the way anyone wanted, but we're choosing to focus on the good… we got to race (a little), WE MADE THE SHOW against some of the best competition in the country, and had extra fun time with friends 🧡! And we now have a extra night to catch up on sleep 😴

Through rain delays, late nights, a difficult kart, and a whole lot of uncertainty, we accomplished what we came to do 👏

Now we take what we learned, turn the page, and get ready for the next one.
