Reshaping HR

It’s hard to imagine that Reshaping HR is already planning for our 2027 HR Roundtable year! It takes a lot of coordinating with Q & A guest experts, dates, topics and more so we need to start early 😊.

If you are an HR professional looking to be part of a smaller, fun, and engaging group, this roundtable is for you. These are typically monthly meetings lasting only 1.25 hours and are a mix of virtual and in-person Appleton meetings (although we may do every other month meetings in 2027). These are affordable ($550.00 or less for the entire year).

Unfortunately, HR can at times involve sensitive issues, challenges and times of uncertainty. Feeling blessed to work with such inspiring clients the past few weeks! Reshaping HR did Deep Dives 5 years ago with an Appleton client and 3 years ago for an IL company where we interviewed all their employees to find out what they enjoyed about their jobs, what struggles/challenges they were having and recommendations they had for the leaders/owners.

Not only did each company listen, they took action and implemented some great ideas from their valued employees. We then facilitated employee roundtable discussions the past few years to keep the discussions going.

Circle back in 2026 when they both asked Reshaping HR to conduct 1-on-1 meetings again. These can be time consuming and take employees away from their jobs but they felt it was important to truly understand the pulse of the organization after both underwent some key changes.

Whew! It's been a busy but rewarding month. I love to reconnect with the employees on these confidential 1-on-1's and deliver the results/recommendations to the exec team. But, I also love to see their commitment to their employees. It may not be easy to hear all the results but true leaders can take accountability and take those moments to grow. Kudos to them.

Reshaping HR's roundtables wouldn't be a success without the participation of our great Q & A experts! Thank you to Steve Van Remortel of MyTalentPlanner Growth Accelerator System who spoke on the topic “Talent Planning: Mastering the People-Side of the Business To Achieve Your Goals/Vision.”

His insight, professionalism and energy is contagious. He addressed the following questions for our HR group:

· What is Talent Planning and how can it help my company?
· How does behavioral/people science improve results?
· How does MyTalentPlanner cut turnover, fill skill set gaps, upskill leaders/supervisors and create a great culture/place to work?
· How does MyTalentPlanner help our company master the people-side of the business to achieve our goals/vision?

We finished the meeting with a group discussion on succession planning, what types of incentives are being offered for hard to fill roles, and the key challenges facing the HR group in the past 2 months.

The group brought great questions, suggestions, feedback and of course, humor! Thank you again to Steve for making it happen today.

A great big shout out to Amy Calder of Golden Innovation who was Reshaping HR's Q & A expert this week on: "AI Doesn’t Have to be Scary: Helping People Get Comfortable with What’s Next!"

Amy was engaging, professional and light-hearted when responding to the following questions:
· What are some small, low-risk ways HR teams can introduce AI tools to employees?
· How can HR address fear or skepticism around “AI taking jobs”?
· What messages help build trust and curiosity instead of resistance?
· How can leaders model openness to learning new tools?
· What policies or guardrails should HR consider early on?

Afterwards, our HR group had an open conversation on using AI in the HR world, leveraging technology to attract and recruit top talent and the length it takes to fill key roles in our organizations. It wouldn't be a roundtable, if I didn't end if with 2 of my corny jokes as well :)
