Phil is back in town this week for Rally for the Valley

Rally for the Valley -This Saturday in Downtown Menasha.

Come show your support, enjoy incredible live entertainment, and rally together for local tornado recovery. Don't miss out!

rallyforthevalleywi.com

On July 27, a devastating tornado tore through the Fox Valley, upending homes and lives across the region. On October 3, the community is coming together to answer back. Rally for the Valley is a free, all-ages, day-long gathering in downtown Menasha from 2–10 PM — part fundraiser, part celebration of resilience, and a chance for the whole Fox Cities region (and beyond) to show up for neighbors who are still rebuilding. Every dollar raised supports three local nonprofits — LEAVEN, Greater Fox Cities Area Habitat for Humanity, and Pillars — covering everything from emergency needs to long-term home repair and housing stability.

The lineup backing this cause is stacked: Charlie Berens, Butch Vig and Duke Erikson from Garbage, Soul Asylum, Fountains of Wayne, Max Collins of Eve 6, Cory Chisel, Freedy Johnston, Phil Johnston, Hang Ten, LOLO, Kami, and Rucksack Revolution are all set to perform, alongside a slate of other Wisconsin personalities and special guests still to be announced. It's a rare, hometown-sized version of a benefit concert lineup — legacy names with deep Wisconsin ties showing up specifically because this happened here.

On October 1st, Fox Cities Core is getting a second preview straight from one of the people making it happen. Phil Johnston grew up in Neenah, graduated from Neenah High School, and went on to write Wreck-It Ralph and Zootopia, then co-directed Ralph Breaks the Internet. He's an Academy Award nominee, and he's also a Fox Cities kid at heart. He will talk about Rally for the Valley, which is a free event taking place this Saturday in downtown Menasha, and about why home still matters.

As always, we invite our listeners to be a part of the show by calling 920-358-0795
