One more summer weekend before we're officially heading into fall.
What's left on your summer project list?
A landscaping project you've been meaning to finish?
A garage that needs cleaning out?
A patio or planting bed that needs a little attention?
There's still time to knock a few things off the list before the seasons change.
What are you working on this weekend?

Fall is right around the corner—and that means it's almost prime planting season in Wisconsin.
Cooler temperatures and warm soil can make fall a great time to install many trees, shrubs, and perennials.
If you've been looking at that empty planting bed all summer, there's still time to make a plan.
Whether you're looking to add a few new plants, refresh an existing bed, or completely transform an area of your yard, we're happy to help bring the plan together.
Don't wait until spring to start planning.

Have you noticed that your landscape seems to have a LOT more bees buzzing around lately?
There's a good reason!
Late summer and early fall can be a busy time for bees and other pollinators. Many plants are still producing flowers, providing an important source of nectar and pollen as the season starts to wind down.
So if you see bees moving from flower to flower in your garden, there's usually no reason to panic. They're busy doing what bees do best—working the flowers, not bothering you.
Some late-season favorites that can attract plenty of bee activity include sedum, asters, goldenrod, coneflowers, and other flowering perennials.
A few things to keep in mind:
🌼 Don't be too quick to cut everything back. Those late-season blooms can still be valuable food sources.
🐝 If bees are simply foraging on flowers, give them some space and let them do their thing.
🌿 Be mindful when using insecticides, particularly on plants that are actively flowering and attracting bees.
And if your landscape is buzzing right now, that's not necessarily a bad thing—it may just mean you've got some very popular flowers!
So the next time you hear that buzz… take a closer look. Your landscape might be busier than you think!

The garage is finally getting cleaned out. And now you're looking at the pile of stuff left behind thinking, "What am I supposed to do with all of this?"
That's where a dumpster can make cleanup a whole lot easier.
Our 15-yard dumpsters are a great fit for many residential cleanup projects, including:
• Garage and basement cleanouts
• Home improvement projects
• Old landscaping and yard cleanup
• Moving and decluttering
• General household cleanup
We deliver it, you fill it, and we haul it away.
Planning an end-of-summer cleanup? Get your dumpster scheduled this weekend before the calendar fills up.

How Often Should I Water Newly Planted Shrubs & Trees?
One of the most common questions we get after a landscaping project is: “How often should I water everything?”
The short answer: Newly planted trees and shrubs need consistent watering, especially during their first growing season—but more water isn’t always better.
A good rule of thumb: Water deeply enough to thoroughly soak the root ball and surrounding soil, then allow the soil to begin drying before watering again.
For most newly planted trees and shrubs, that may mean watering every 2–3 days during hot, dry weather. Cooler temperatures or periods of rain may mean you can water less often.
The goal is to encourage roots to grow outward and establish themselves—not to keep the soil constantly soaked. Overwatering can be just as harmful as underwatering, particularly for evergreens and shrubs that don't like having consistently wet roots.
Before grabbing the hose, check the soil a few inches below the surface. If it still feels moist, you can probably wait. If it’s dry, it’s time for a good, deep watering.
Remember: Deep and thoughtful watering beats a quick daily sprinkle!
