Our Mitigation Technicians are often the first ones on-site after water, fire, storm, mold, sewage, and other property damage. You’ll work alongside an experienced team to help homeowners and businesses clean up, dry out, and start rebuilding.

🛠️ WHAT YOU’LL DO:
• Water extraction, drying & minor demolition
• Fire damage cleanup, board-ups & structure stabilization
• Smoke cleaning & pack-outs
• Mold remediation
• Contents moving & cleaning
• Trash and debris removal
• Material & supply delivery
• Small restoration and punch-list tasks
• Participate in an on-call rotation for emergency losses

💪 WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
Someone who enjoys physical, hands-on work, works well with a team, brings a positive attitude, and most importantly, is reliable and accountable.

Experience in restoration is a plus, but EXPERIENCE IS NOT REQUIRED! We’re willing to train the right people who are ready to work and learn.

💰 Starting Pay: $20/hour

THE WATER WAS UPSTAIRS… SO WHY IS THERE MOLD DOWNSTAIRS? 👀

This piece of ceiling tells the story.

A bathroom on the second floor flooded, but the water didn’t stay in the bathroom. It traveled downward into the materials below, eventually affecting the ceiling on the floor underneath.

And when wet building materials don’t dry properly, moisture can remain trapped where you can’t see it. That creates conditions where mold can begin to grow. 🦠

Our employee is holding a section of the affected ceiling that was removed, revealing just how much can be happening behind the surface even when the visible water is long gone.

That’s why after a water loss, it’s important to look beyond the obvious damage.

💧 Where did the water travel?
🔍 Are the materials underneath actually dry?
📏 Is moisture still trapped in the ceiling or walls?
🦠 Are there signs of microbial growth?

Just because the water is gone doesn’t mean the damage is.

After significant rainfall caused water to enter this basement, the JG Restoration team responded to remove the water, assess the affected areas, and begin the drying process to help prevent additional damage.

Water can travel farther than what’s visible, soaking into flooring, drywall, insulation, and other building materials. 🔥🍂 BONFIRE SEASON IS HERE! 🍂🔥

Cooler nights, hoodies, chairs around the fire, and maybe a few marshmallows sacrificed to the flames. 😆 Fall bonfires are one of the best parts of the season, but before you light up the fire pit, give your setup a quick safety check.

Keep your fire pit a safe distance from anything that can catch fire, including your home or garage, decks and porches, fences, sheds, dry grass and leaves, and low or overhanging branches.

🔥 A few more bonfire basics: Keep a hose, bucket of water, or extinguisher nearby. Never use gasoline or other flammable liquids to start or revive a fire. Watch kids and pets around the flames, and don’t leave the fire unattended. When the night is over, make sure the fire and embers are completely extinguished before heading inside.

And remember, windy conditions can turn one little spark into a much bigger problem very quickly. If it’s especially dry or windy, save the bonfire for another night.

🐟🔥 FRIDAY FISH FRY… AT HOME? 🔥🐟

Nothing says Wisconsin Friday quite like a good fish fry. But we want to know…

If you’re frying your own fish tonight, there’s one ingredient you definitely don’t want on the menu: an oil fire. 😳🔥

Whether you're cooking inside or outside, a few safety reminders can make a huge difference:

🔥 If cooking oil catches fire:

NEVER throw water on it. Water can cause burning oil to splash and spread the fire.
If it’s safe to do so, turn off the heat.
For a small pan fire, carefully slide a metal lid or baking sheet over the pan to smother the flames.
Do not pick up or move a burning pan.
If you’re using an outdoor fryer, keep it well away from your home, garage, deck, and anything combustible.
Keep the correct fire extinguisher nearby and know how to use it.
If the fire is growing or you can’t safely control it, get everyone away and call 911.

And remember: never leave hot oil unattended. Fish can wait. Fire definitely won’t. 🔥😬
