Blood donors make lifesaving care possible before a patient even reaches the hospital.

We're proud to partner with County Rescue and HSHS St. Vincent Hospital to help more first responders transfuse low titer O whole blood when every second counts. Through County Rescue's new ambulance whole blood program, paramedics can begin transfusions at the scene or during transport when a patient meets clinical criteria.

County Rescue team members recently toured our state-of-the-art lab to see how donated blood is processed, tested and distributed to help patients in critical moments.
