Mark Scheffler for Congress

Today I sent my heartfelt congratulations to Rick Crosson for his win in the 8th CD Democratic Primary. Although the margin of victory was razor thin between all three candidates, he can proudly claim victory and it's now time to rally around his campaign heading into the general election this fall.

I'll be doing a final post in the coming days, but today I want to give Rick and his team the space they deserve to celebrate their hard-fought victory! Congratulations!

And I also want to offer my sincere congratulations to one of the bravest women I know, Katrina deVille. You showed up in ways that most average folks could never do, and you proved that you are tough and resilient and a great leader for our community!

Lastly, to the many supporters and volunteers and donors to our campaign, I'm SO GRATEFUL for all of you and for your dedication to helping us run a forward-thinking, fresh and innovative campaign. We proved that rising above the fray and running a positive campaign is SO important, and for your constant support I am forever grateful.

More to come in a few days! ☀️

📋 FINAL CAMPAIGN REPORT CARD

Tomorrow is Election Day. Before you vote, here’s the record we’re PROUD to put before you:

✅ FRESH IDEAS — A+
We didn’t just talk about what’s wrong. We brought new ideas to the table — on healthcare, taxes, agriculture, affordability, sustainability and strengthening our democracy.

✅ ELECTABILITY — A+
Our campaign can get us to 51% in November! We’ve built the kind of broad coalition across the entire 8th District and earned endorsements from past candidates who understand what it takes to run and WIN.

✅ PROGRESSIVE VALUES — A+
Strong support for universal healthcare, tax relief for working families, reproductive freedom, equality, protecting our environment and building an economy that works for everyone.

✅ POSITIVE CAMPAIGN — A+
No attack ads. No tearing down fellow Democrats. Never! We’ve focused on what Mark brings to the table and the kind of representative he intends to be.

✅ RURAL OUTREACH — A+
Town halls and conversations throughout rural Northeast Wisconsin — including communities Democrats too often overlook. We showed up, listened, and earned their trust.

✅ MEET & GREETS — A+
From farms and small businesses to community events and neighborhood gatherings, this campaign has been about actually meeting the people we hope to represent.

✅ BROAD APPEAL — A+
Progressives, Independents and centrist-Conservatives have engaged with this campaign because we’ve treated people with respect — even when we disagree.

✅ RESPONSIVENESS — A+
We’ve listened. We've answered your questions. We’ve gone where voters are. And we’ve worked hard to make sure people know where Mark stands on the issues most important to you.

✅ CIVILITY & INTEGRITY — A+
We promised a different kind of campaign — positive, constructive and focused on the future. We kept that promise.

And tomorrow, the choice belongs to you. If you’re ready for fresh ideas, positive leadership and a candidate capable of building the broad coalition we need to win in November, we're asking for your vote.

Let’s finish what we started!

Vote Mark Scheffler for Congress tomorrow, August 11.

Mark is PROUD to be endorsed by six-time election winner Mayor Tim Hanna!

Tim served for more than two decades as Mayor of Appleton and like Mark he knows how to work across the aisle to get things done. Mayor Hanna also knows how to win elections, and supports Mark in Tuesday's Democratic primary.

LET'S GO!

Rush Hour Rally yesterday at Houdini Plaza in Downtown Appleton! Thx everybody for rocking the campaign t-shirts and signs!!

I'm asking for your vote in the Democratic primary on Tuesday because I'm the only candidate with a clear path to defeating Tony Wied this November. That's why former Congressman Steve Kagen, the only Democrat to win the district this century, has endorsed our campaign. He knows what it takes to build the coalition that can win here, and he believes we can do it again!

I don't know about you, but I'm tired of watching this Congressional seat stay in the hands of a Trump-endorsed Republican. The stakes are just too high to lose it again.

If we keep approaching this race the same way as we have in the recent past, we shouldn't be surprised if we keep getting the same result. Our campaign is offering a different strategy because Northeast Wisconsin deserves a Democrat who can actually win in November.

On Tuesday, I'm asking you to vote not just for a candidate, but for a different path to victory. I'd be honored to earn your support. Thank you.

Join Mark and his supporters for a Rush Hour Rally at Houdini Plaza in Downtown Appleton from 4-6 pm TODAY (Thursday August 6th)! Grab a sign, wave to passers-by and rally voters ahead of this Tuesday's primary election. LET'S GO Appleton Downtown!!

PROUD to have earned the endorsement of Nadine Miller!!
