š One year of Albatross Financial š
Tomorrow marks one year since I took the leap and started Albatross Financial ā and Iāve spent a lot of time reflecting on just how much can happen in 12 months.
When I started, I knew building something of my own would come with challenges. What I didnāt fully appreciate was how many people would be willing to support, encourage, refer, and believe in me along the way.
Iām incredibly grateful for every client who has trusted me with something as important as their financial future. Iām grateful for the friends, family, and professional connections who have opened doors and sent people my way.
The first year has been a lot of learning, a lot of hard work, and a lot of growth ā both personally and professionally.
Most importantly, Iām proud of what Albatross has become, and Iām even more excited about where itās going.
Thank you to everyone who has been part of the first year. I truly couldnāt have done it without you.
Hereās to year two. š„

Small Lessons Create Big Results
One week at summer camp doesn't change a child's life.
But years of learning, growing, and building habits can.
Investing works much the same way.
Most wealth isn't built through one great investment. It's built through consistent saving, disciplined investing, and patience over time.
Small actions repeated consistently often produce extraordinary results.
What was your favorite summer camp, activity, or childhood summer memory growing up?

Every Great Trip Needs a Destination
Summer road trips start with a destination and a route. Financial planning works the same way.
Many people spend more time planning a week-long vacation than they do planning retirement. Yet retirement could last 20-30 years.
The most successful financial plans begin with a simple question:
"Where are you trying to go?"
Whether it's retiring early, helping children through college, purchasing a vacation home, or leaving a legacy, clarity creates confidence.
This summer, take a few minutes to think about your destinationānot just your next vacation.
What's one place that's still on your family's summer bucket list this year?
Here is a couple of ours:
**Go to Washington Island and see the Lavender Fields
**Hike Witches Gultch in Baraboo
**Spend time with the kids at the Lake
**Take a family road trip and cross off a stateside destination (Niagara Falls, Mount Rushmore, etc...)

Many great financial advisors Iāve met over the years arenāt āready to retireā⦠but they are starting to think about what the next chapter looks like.
If thatās you (or someone you know)āIād welcome a conversation.
Not about āselling your bookā overnight.
More about:
⢠Creating a thoughtful transition plan for your clients
⢠Preserving the relationships and trust youāve built
⢠Exploring a gradual handoff vs. a hard stop
⢠Structuring something that works for you personally and financially
Iām a practicing advisor who cares deeply about long-term client relationships and continuityānot just transactions.
This doesnāt have to be a ābig decisionā conversationājust a starting point to explore options--feel free to message me directly.
š Not fully satisfied with how your taxes have looked the last few years ā
Youāre not alone ā and the good news is that thoughtful planning can often make a meaningful difference over time.
When I meet with individuals and families, we talk through questions like:
š How are your investment accounts positioned from a tax perspective (preātax, Roth, afterātax)?
š Are you taking full advantage of available retirement plan options at work or through your business?
š How will future withdrawals in retirement impact your tax bracket?
š Have recent life changes (job, business income, relocation, inheritance) affected your overall plan?
š Is your current strategy aligned with your longāterm goals and risk comfort?
If youād like to review your current situation and discuss general planning considerations, Iām happy to connect. Give us a āļø

Most people donāt āfailā retirement because of the market.
They fail it because of planning blind spots.
I put together this quick graphic on the most common retirement mistakes I see: from investing too aggressively (or too conservatively) to ignoring taxes and healthcare.
Which of these feels most real to you right now?
Confidence starts with a plan. Let's make sure your plan is taking these blind spots into consideration.
