A British firm collected used coffee grounds from cafés and other businesses, dried them and pressed them into fire logs; each log contained the grounds from about 25 cups of coffee and was said to burn about 20% hotter and longer than kiln-dried... A British startup transformed millions of cups of coffee into premium fuel, creating a circular product that burned hotter than wood—until the model couldn't sustain itself.
