The Asheville Rowing Club is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the sport of rowing. It requires agility, strength and training.
Asheville Rowing Club is a volunteer run private sports and social club for adults who participate in scull and sweep rowing. The club offers a network for rowers who wish to row for recreation and for those who wish to row competitively. Rowing is a highly technical sport that offers a full body work out. Asheville Rowing Club offers Learn to Row pro0grams in the spring and fall for people new to rowing,. Upon successful completion of this program, participants are extended an invitation to join the club. The club does not have a coach, but members often volunteer their time and expertise in the club's mentorship program to bring Learn to Row graduates up to speed. Belonging to this club is a great experience; rowing is really fun and challenging. Rowing's benefits go beyond fitness. Feel free to message us here with any questions. Our website is not currently up to date. There are not always people at the boat house. When they are there they are typically on a tight schedule to get on and off the water. Please address all inquiries through messaging. Thanks so much and Happy rowing!

Recently, ARC members gathered for our Annual Games & Picnic! ☀️🚣♀️
The day was filled with friendly competition, plenty of laughs, and some seriously creative challenges. We kicked things off on the water with a boat race with the challenge of keeping cups full of water, then we headed to land for a basketball balancing act with oars, a coxing challenge to spell “STEPHANIE” with ping pong balls, an erg distance guessing game, and Boathouse Feud!
The day wrapped up with a wonderful picnic, door prizes, and lots of time to enjoy the company of fellow members!
A huge thank you to our Social Committee for planning such an amazing event and bringing everyone together!

Last weekend, ARC had the pleasure of hosting a Sweep Swap with Holston Rowing Club! It was a great opportunity to get out on the water, connect with fellow rowers, and share our love of the sport. 🚣♀️💙 holstonrowingclub

A special congrats to Parker & Emily who competed in their first race in a single as well as to Ali for coxing her first sprint race!
What an incredible day of racing despite the weather. Thank you Oak Ridge Rowing for putting on this amazing regatta each year. Looking forward to the next one!
📸A special thanks to Parker for capturing these amazing actions shots!

This past weekend, Asheville Rowing Club held its first Learn to Row class of 2026. Participants brought enthusiasm, focus, and a willingness to learn from the very first session.
Thank you to the many volunteers who gave their time, energy, and expertise over four days to create such a positive experience. Our club is stronger because of people who show up for others, and this class was a great example of that.
