Growth takes time. Roots need care. Sometimes you need to be replanted. And what starts out small can become something much bigger than you imagined.

That’s what we hope for every young adult and foster or reunifying parent we walk alongside. We want to help people establish roots, create stability, and have the support they need to grow.

What started as two tiny plants has become six and we’re so grateful to have mentors like Daniell!

Greetings from our office!

It’s not every day that you’ll find both Well Rooted founders in the office at the same time! Between busy schedules, kids, meetings, and everything else that comes with running a nonprofit, we don’t always cross paths.

But today, we did!

Sarah was putting together a much-needed piece of furniture that will help our office run a little more efficiently (because apparently nonprofit leadership also includes furniture assembly 😉), while Katie was hard at work connecting with our young adults and making sure their needs are being met.

It may look like an ordinary day at the office, but these are the behind-the-scenes moments that keep Well Rooted moving forward and allow us to show up for the people we serve.

Our young adults aging out of foster care often need shelf-stable food, and protein can be especially hard to come by. Each month, beef jerky is one of the staples on our pantry needs list because it’s shelf-stable, filling, and provides much needed protein.

We are so grateful to Righteous Felon for committing make a monthly donation towards our pantry for young adults. Your ongoing support makes a real difference!
