Invitation to participate in the Sart Day merit-making ceremony

You are invited to the
Bun Khao Sak* (Rice Offering Ceremony)
or Sart Day ceremony.
Wat Phuttha Maniratanaram has scheduled a traditional Thai Sart Day merit-making ceremony (Bun Khao Sak)
for Thai, Lao, and all nationalities to participate in making merit and dedicating it to their deceased relatives. The schedule is as follows:
* Sunday, September 27, 2026, 10:00 AM.
The presiding officer lights incense and candles to worship the Triple Gem.
Paying homage to the Buddha and observing the precepts - Monks chant blessings.
Lay people participate in alms giving.
At 11:00 AM, lunch is offered to the monks.
- A merit-making ceremony is held to dedicate merit to deceased benefactors.
- Phra Kru Vijit Silakun, the abbot, gives a sermon.
- Lay people pour water as a symbolic offering, receive blessings, and are sprinkled with holy water.
- A communal meal is served.

We cordially invite all Buddhists to participate in alms giving, offering lunch to the monks, and performing the merit-making ceremony to dedicate merit to those who have passed away.
