Wadsworth’s Brent DeArmond explains how using your Seed controller to manage Dosatrons gives you more options when it comes to fertilizer injection throughout your greenhouse.

Direct different Dosatron banks to different zones—or bypass fertilizer injection altogether when you don’t need it. With Seed, you can manage it all through one control system.

Smart control means giving your crops what they need, when and where they need it.

🌱 Growing research capabilities without starting from scratch.
Longtime Wadsworth customer Louisiana State University’s Rice Research Facility recently upgraded four greenhouses previously controlled by Wadsworth STEP50 systems, connecting them with the facility’s newest 2024 Atlas/Stuppy greenhouse and its Wadsworth Seed control system.
One of the advantages of Seed is its ability to grow with a facility. Rather than replacing the entire control setup, a new control panel was added to each of the four existing greenhouses and connected to the Seed system—bringing them together under centralized control.
The LSU Rice Research Facility conducts research focused on improving the quality and performance of rice and other grains. With the expanded Seed system, researchers have access to improved environmental control, data, and management tools to support that work.
It’s a great example of how Wadsworth Seed can expand alongside a facility—whether research needs change, new greenhouses are added, or older spaces are upgraded. 🌾

Wadsworth’s Patricia Dean and Brent DeArmond enjoyed attending yesterday’s Colorado Nursery & Greenhouse Association Member BBQ & Workshop, hosted by Echter’s Nursery & Garden Center.
Thank you to our host Dave Echter (pictured with Patricia), the Echter’s team and CNGA for bringing everyone together for an afternoon of learning, conversation and connection with fellow industry professionals.
We always enjoy opportunities to catch up with familiar faces and spend time with the people who make this industry such a great community. 🌱

A great day on the course for an even better cause! ⛳️🌱
Wadsworth was proud to be a Cultivation Sponsor of the annual Colorado Horticulture Research & Education Foundation (CHREF) Golf Tournament, hosted by the Colorado Nursery & Greenhouse Association (CNGA) at Colorado National Golf Club this past weekend.
The tournament helps provide critical funding for horticulture research at Colorado State University and scholarships for students pursuing education and careers in horticulture. Since the mid-1980s, CHREF has contributed more than $300,000 to research and another $300,000+ to scholarships—helping develop the next generation of leaders in the nursery and greenhouse industry.
Representing Wadsworth on the course were Principal Engineer Ben Lane, Controller Bob Green, Gary “El Jefe” Dean, and Brent DeArmond.
We’re always happy to get out of the office, spend time with friends in the industry, and support a cause that helps horticulture continue to grow. 🌿

A new chapter in greenhouse control at Middle Tennessee State University!

MTSU recently upgraded its outdated greenhouse controls to the Wadsworth Seed system, giving its team the ability to independently manage five zones—each supporting different crops and experiments.
For Nate, the head professor, the upgrade means more than improved control. His students now have access to high-quality environmental data, while the greenhouse team benefits from remote access, real-time monitoring, alarms, and alerts.
And those trips to campus whenever a storm was approaching just to manually close the vents? Those are now a thing of the past.
With Seed, Nate has the tools and information he needs to manage the greenhouses more efficiently and focus on what matters most: teaching, research, and growing.
We’re proud to support the important work happening at MTSU—and help make a few greenhouse control dreams come true!

Wadsworth’s Nick Earls recently visited the Alabama Agricultural Experiment Station at Auburn University to learn more about the horticulture research happening at their facilities—and see how Wadsworth systems continue to support that work.
The relationship dates back to 1991, when Auburn began with our STEP50 controls. Since then, the facility has upgraded to our EnviroSTEP controls and, most recently, a Seed multi-zone control system, along with Wadsworth vent motors and energy curtains.
Technology has changed quite a bit over the years, but we’re proud that the partnership has continued right along with it.
Thank you to the Auburn team for welcoming us and for trusting Wadsworth to help support important horticulture research for more than three decades. 🌿

A greenhouse upgrade is about more than new technology—it’s about making sure every system works together the way it should.
Amanda Debevc takes us inside a recent control upgrade to show how the Wadsworth Seed control system coordinates equipment, including the proper timing between the shutter and exhaust fans, to help maintain the right greenhouse environment.
Smart controls. Thoughtful sequencing. Better environmental management for your crop.
See how Wadsworth helps growers take control of their greenhouse environment. Reach out to us today.
