LSKC creative
Way back in my earliest art-making days, I’ve enjoyed the process of layering color and creating prints.
After a career in corporate design work, I now have the opportunity to return to printmaking and it feels like home.

Details from a new take on my print Recollection Quilt. I always envisioned this color direction, but a large print can be tricky to navigate. Grateful to Lawrence Arts Center and the wonderful studio and large press there to get me over the finish line. Excited to debut the final print Country Club Plaza art fair and my show at Lawrence Arts Center beginning October 30.
New version of my Recollection Quilt is on the way!

I am excited about all the art happenings I have coming up! First stop is the , an event that I keep returning to because it’s such a great intersection of local community and talented artists. After that, I’m thrilled to have a show at the starting with a first Friday artist reception in June. (It will be up all summer). Then at the end of June I’ll head back to my birth state (Iowa) for the . Can’t wait to share all my new work at these events and hope to see you at one of them!
After months of carving, printing and, finally, painting, Recollection Quilt is finally ready for framing next week! This piece will debut in my show “Pressed Into Memory,” opening First Friday June 5th at the Leedy Voulkos Art Center in the KC Crossroads.
I owe a huge debt of gratitude to the workshop that helped motivate me to create on such a large scale, 30 by 40 inches.
This print is part of a series inspired by collecting memories. Everywhere I go, I try to get out for a hike or walk to experience the place. These forays produce mementos that feel both unique and common. Recollection Quilt stitches these experiences together in a way that reflects comfort and connection, while hinting at cultural heritage and craft by using the metaphor of quilting and Slovakian patterns.
I hope to see you for First Friday if you are in the KC area!
Incredible experience printing with at the ! More to come including some other massive and impressive prints from the day.

So excited to be participating in this year‘s , an international print exchange based in Australia. This year‘s theme is “Animals with Attitude.”
When we visit Mexico, the roosters are our alarm clock. “Wake up” is a love letter to this beautiful and vibrant country that we treasure spending time in.
Wishing our neighbors to the south health and safety in the coming year.
