HELP US PUT MORE BOOKS INTO THE HANDS OF LOCAL CHILDREN!

One of the things we love most at Broadway Books is welcoming local school children into our store. Through our free-book program, we invite classes to visit us, explore the shelves, and each child gets to choose one book to take home—completely free. ❤️

While they’re here, we try to make their visit feel extra special. We might play a trivia game, offer an activity that sparks their imagination, share a treat, or create anything else that helps bring about some fun and connection. We want children to feel welcome and excited to be here.

For some children, this may be the first time they have ever walked into a bookstore and chosen a book that is theirs. We get to watch their faces light up as they find the one they want, and it is truly something special.

Right now, this program is made possible by the incredible generosity of one very special woman who believes in the power of books and in our children. We are so grateful for her support. ❤️

But we’d love to grow this program.

We’re looking for individuals, families, organizations, and local businesses who would like to become part of it.

Your support can help us bring even more classrooms through our doors, create meaningful experiences for visiting children, and put more books into the hands of children in our community.

You don’t have to be a big corporation or make a huge donation. Every contribution means another child gets to walk out of Broadway Books holding a book they chose for themselves—and carrying a happy memory of their visit.

If you’d like to help sponsor this program—or would simply like to learn more—please send us a message or stop by the store.

Let’s give our kids something that can last far beyond the day they visit us: a book, a story, a little joy, and the feeling that reading belongs to them.

📚 A little Dolly Parton for your bookshelf…

We have several Dolly books in the store but this one takes us behind the songs—the stories, memories, people, heartbreaks, joys, and moments that inspired them. From the songs we’ve loved for decades to the deeply personal stories behind them, Dolly shares the why behind the words.

If you love Dolly Parton, country music, great storytelling—or just a book that will help you get to know the person behind the public image—this is one you’ll want to spend some time with.

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who joined us for our Book Bling night! We had such a fun time decorating, laughing, snacking, sipping, and seeing everyone’s creativity.

Events like this are a fun way to get to know each other a little better!

If you missed this one, don’t worry—we have lots more fun planned! 🎉 From book clubs and games to themed nights and other bookish adventures, there’s going to be more opportunities to meet new friends and have more fun!

📚 Come join us for the next one! Bring a friend, meet some fellow book lovers, and make a night of it. You never know what kind of fun awaits!

Thank you for making our Book Bling night such a success. We can’t wait to see you at the next event! 💙💚
