((Deb Buckler) Well...here we go again. 3rd times a charm though....RIGHT? Randy had to go in for yet more surgery to try and save the sight in his left eye this week. Most people don't know he's been basically blind in that left eye for the past 3 months. We just finished surgery #3. The first surgery was for the detached retina. The second surgery was for "cataract surgery" and they replaced his lens with an acrylic one. The acrylic lens was foggy and he never could see out of it. This third surgery was to remove a massive amount of scar tissue that had formed on his retina. The Dr. scraped away the scar tissue and cleaned up the acrylic lens.

(Deb Buckler) People throw away the strangest things. They throw away their hopes and dreams, They throw away their pets, and even their friends and family. Well. As my mother used to always say, "one mans trash is another mans treasure". Such is certainly the case here! We've taken in so many "cast-offs" from society...critters, even PEOPLE from time to time! Who are we to close the door when God sends us an angel. Meet MAX! Max is a little gelding that was rescued by the "Milly's Place" horse rescue in Southern California. They got him from the Bowie livestock auction in Texas, on his way to the slaughter pipeline. After 4 months of rehabilitation, we were able to adopt him and bring him home here to us. MANY thanks to everyone who bought things so we could afford the adoption fee and transport! Max is getting a soft landing here!
