Sometimes, you just want to buy the hardware without working your way through the rest of a website.
So we’ve created a separate Ground Control online store: https://store.groundcontrol.com/
It’s designed to make it quicker and easier to browse devices, accessories and pricing, compare options, and place an order online.
We’re still adding products, accessories and more at-a-glance comparison information, so the store will continue to improve over the coming weeks.
Take a look, and please let us know what would make it more useful.
When a remote water system raises an alarm, can you trust the data behind it?
For water utilities and environmental teams, collecting measurements is only part of the challenge. Those readings also need to arrive reliably, trigger action quickly and create a clear record of what happened, even where cellular coverage is poor.
This popular article explores how satellite IoT can support that process, with practical examples covering:
• Remote reservoir monitoring and pump control
• River level, flow and water quality measurement
• Automatic alerts for unusual conditions
• Time-stamped records for investigation and reporting
It's a useful read for anyone designing remote monitoring systems where missing data could have operational, environmental or regulatory consequences.

GNSS spoofing can leave a vessel showing a position that looks entirely credible, while being completely wrong.
In our latest article, Ground Control CEO Alastair MacLeod explains why workboat operators need more than a single source of positioning data to maintain safe and reliable operations.
The article explores eight common myths around GNSS interference and A-PNT, including why spoofing may not be obvious to crews, why shore-based monitoring is not always an independent safeguard, and why A-PNT should form part of a wider resilience strategy rather than replace existing navigation systems.
Thank you to Maritime Journal for publishing the article, and helping bring greater attention to this increasingly important issue for workboats, offshore support vessels, ports, and marine contractors.

Busting the myths surrounding GNSS interference GNSS spoofing is no longer just a military concern. Ground Control CEO Alastair MacLeod explains why workboat operators should rethink how they verify vessel positions to maintain safe and reliable operations.

Thank you to SatNews Publishers for featuring Ground Control in its latest digital edition.
Our article explores why resilient connectivity is becoming increasingly important for offshore uncrewed surface vessel operations.
It looks at how layered satellite communications can help USVs remain visible and manageable when their primary broadband connection is interrupted, preserving essential functions such as vessel health data, tracking, alerts and low rate command traffic.

Choosing the right satellite modem for your UAV starts with the data you need to send.
Ground Control helps drone manufacturers build reliable global communications into their aircraft, from compact message-based control and telemetry to real time BVLOS C2, payload data and remote fleet management.
We support manufacturers with hardware selection, OEM integration, airtime and the Cloudloop tools needed to manage devices and data after deployment.
What does maritime GNSS spoofing actually look like in practice?
In this clip from our recent webinar with Andy Proctor of the Royal Institute of Navigation, Ground Control’s Oli Potter shares real world examples from the Persian Gulf and Strait of Hormuz.
The GNSS tracks show vessels displaced to false locations or following impossible patterns. Alongside them, the APNT data continues to reflect the vessels’ actual movements.
It's a clear illustration of why resilient, independent positioning is becoming increasingly important for maritime operators working in areas affected by GNSS interference.

What does MAVLink telemetry actually look like over a live satellite connection?
With support from Ground Control, ArduPilot developer Stephen Dade tested MAVLink telemetry over Iridium Certus 100 using the RockREMOTE UAV OEM. The results demonstrate usable, consistent telemetry with typical round-trip latency below two seconds when the system is configured appropriately.
More importantly, the work gives developers practical guidance on stream rates, network configuration and antenna installation, helping teams design more predictable satellite connectivity for UAVs operating beyond terrestrial coverage.

These are genuine messages from a customer operating in the Black Sea.
Their primary GNSS systems were jammed, with position errors of up to 12,000 nautical miles. RockFLEET Assured continued to provide a trusted position when the systems they would normally rely on couldn't.
GNSS disruption is a real operational threat, and it's already affecting vessels in high risk regions. RockFLEET Assured gives crews an independent source of position and time, helping them maintain situational awareness when conventional navigation systems are compromised.
Real conditions. Real customer feedback. A solution proven where it matters.
Some of the most valuable ocean data is collected far beyond cellular coverage.
From connected buoys and drifting instruments to USVs and ocean robots, reliable satellite connectivity allows researchers and operators to receive vital information from remote waters. That can include wave height, salinity, temperature, wind speed, position and equipment status.
This data supports ocean science, weather forecasting, environmental monitoring and safer maritime operations around the world.
With low power RockBLOCK devices for compact sensor data and RockREMOTE for higher volume IP connectivity, we can help connect almost any offshore platform.

Remote monitoring shouldn't require complex infrastructure, frequent site visits or manual data collection.
RockBLOCK RTU is a compact, low power data logger built for sensors in harsh, off-grid locations. It captures digital and analog readings, uses cellular where available and satellite connectivity beyond terrestrial coverage, and delivers the data into Cloudloop for real time monitoring, alerts and long term performance analysis.
From water levels and soil moisture to industrial telemetry, it's a simpler way to keep remote operations visible.
