Let's end plastic-free July where we began! Please do not put plastic bags in the recycling. Plastic bags are bad for the environment and shed dangerous chemicals/microplastics! They can also pose problems for recycling centers!

Go plastic free when buying produce!

The schedule of activities for UpCycle Fest 2026 is here and it's gonna be busy!

Art vendors, bike tune-ups, and our community painting station will be running all day! (11-5)

Screen printing, Mosaic, and paper-making stations will go from 11 to 4:30

Wood turning sessions will be in 30 minute blocks, each of which can accommodate 4 participants.
(Make sure to sign up when you get here if you'd like a hands-on intro to lathe work!)

Leather repair will be available 11:30-1:30, then from 2-4 we'll be swapping over to lamp rewiring!

Port Authority Meeting allowed ten minute comment period from Roxanne Groff, and Nancy Pierce regarding the CCC plant planned for Athens County. We were assured there will be a public meeting soon for others to ask questions and offer their opinions and concerns. Standing room only with many Athenians attending.
