Now rock and roll now. Roommates Randy Bewley and Michael Lachowski began the band as an art project in Fall 1978. The music began to fall quickly in place.

As a side note the magazine got its name from a Charleston SC disco / club in the 1970s/80s.

44 years ago Pylon and Love Tractor played at 688 during their birthday party week. May 28,1982.

Tarmon Kelling posted this ad on the Old School Atlanta page. Stella Zine gave us a heads up. 688 was a new music club in downtown Atlanta sort of between Georgia Tech and the Varsity. It was one of the few stops bands could make in the Southeast back then. Iggy Pop famously took it over for an entire week once.
