The market goes up. You feel great.

The market drops. You panic.

Sound familiar?

Defined outcome investing was designed for exactly this moment. It's a strategy that defines -in advance - a buffer against losses and a cap on gains, so you know what you're working with before volatility has a chance to derail your plan.

Defined outcome investing does not eliminate risk entirely. Nothing does. However, it helps to replace your anxiety with greater clarity.

As a fiduciary Certified Financial Planner®, my role is to help you map out your whole financial picture including your income, investments, goals and risk tolerance – and then, help ensure all of the pieces are working together to help you meet your goals.

That includes helping you understand strategies like this one, so you can have informed conversations with your investment team and make decisions that actually align with where you're going.

You've worked too hard to leave your financial future to chance. You deserve a plan that grows with you and protects you along the way.

That's what holistic financial planning looks like.

This spring, I had the privilege of celebrating a very special milestone with my dear friend and longtime client, LaShawn Pyle, as she was surprised with a beautiful 60th birthday celebration.

What made the evening even more meaningful was seeing the love that surrounded her. The event was thoughtfully organized by her husband, daughter, son-in-law, son, and daughter-in-law.

Friends traveled from near and far, representing every chapter of LaShawn's life. The room was filled with laughter, stories, gratitude, and the kind of relationships that can only be built over time.

And can we talk about how incredible she looks?

If you didn't know LaShawn was celebrating 60, you would swear she was in her 40s - a testament to the value of prioritizing your health and well-being along the journey.

I've had the honor of working with LaShawn for more than 20 years. The moments like these are a reminder that financial planning isn't just about preparing for retirement or managing investments. It's about helping our clients create a life that allows you to enjoy the people, experiences, and milestones that matter most.

Thank you, LaShawn, for allowing me to share in the celebration; and for trusting me with your financial journey.

Here's to the next chapter and all the joy it will bring!

One of the greatest gifts we can give our children isn't found in a bank account.

It's the example we set.

On this , I'm reminded that our children learn far more from what we do than what we say. They watch how we make decisions, prepare for the future, navigate challenges, and steward the resources we have been entrusted with.

Whether your children are young, grown, or beginning families of their own, it's never too early - or too late -to share the financial values that matter most:

✔️ Plan before you need to.
✔️ Live with intention.
✔️ Give generously.
✔️Prepare for life's unexpected moments.
✔️ Leave those you love in a stronger position than where you started.

The conversations we have today can shape the decisions our families make for generations to come.

Happy National Parents Day to all who are building a legacy of wisdom, opportunity, and love.

Don’t let headlines ruin your summer.

If feels as if every news update gives us more things to worry about.

Every summer, it seems there's a new reason to worry.

Market swings. Interest rates. Inflation. National and global events.

And while the headlines may change, one thing remains true: reacting emotionally to short-term news is rarely a successful long-term investment strategy.

The women and families we work with aren't building wealth for the next 30 days. They're building wealth for the next 10, 20, and 30 years.

That's why having a financial plan matters.

A well-designed strategy is built to withstand market ups and downs, political cycles, and periods of uncertainty. It provides a framework for making decisions based on your goals - not the trending headlines.

When you know your plan is aligned with what matters most to you, you can spend less time worrying about the markets and more time enjoying the moments that matter.

This summer, give yourself permission to step away from the noise.

The markets won't take a vacation, but with the right plan in place, you can.

If you'd like a second look at your current financial plan, let’s connect.

We are over halfway through the year — and most executives I speak with are unknowingly leaving gaps in their financial plan.

A mid-year review is not just a check-in. It is where overlooked risks and missed opportunities tend to surface.

Here is what we often uncover:

✅ No clear income plan tied to retirement or lifestyle goals
✅ Investment accounts that are not coordinated or strategically aligned
✅ Missed tax-saving opportunities that cannot be recovered later
✅ No centralized Financial Life Organizer, leaving loved ones scrambling to find important information during a crisis
✅ Limited or outdated estate planning

These aren't small issues—they can compound over time.

That's why we offer our Second Look Strategy Session: an objective, written review of your current strategy with recommendations to strengthen and better align your financial plan. If you're ready for a fresh perspective, schedule yours today. calendly.com/t-sapp-financial-partners/secondlook

One of the greatest joys of my work is having a front row seat to the incredible things my clients accomplish.

Last week, I had the chance to attend the Atlanta book signing for my client, New York Times bestselling author Tia Williams, and celebrate the release of "The Missed Connection," her newest novel.

I've read every one of Tia's books, and every time she releases a new one, I can't wait to dive in. She's one of those rare authors who makes you feel like you're getting to know her a little better with every story she tells. Her characters stay with you long after you've turned the last page.

Seeing her connect with readers, celebrate another milestone, and enjoy the success she's worked so hard to achieve was incredibly special.

Congratulations, Tia! It is a privilege to cheer you on, and I can't wait to see where your next story takes you.

If you're looking for your next great read, I highly recommend adding one of Tia's novels to your list. Learn more about Tia and her books at tiawilliamswrites.com.

Most people feel confident in their financial plan—until the market puts it to the test.

A strategy may look solid during calm markets, but the real question is whether it still feels right when uncertainty and volatility show up.

That’s why risk tolerance is about more than a questionnaire. It should reflect your real life, including:

• Your timeline and future goals
• Your need for growth, income, or preservation
• How you emotionally respond to market swings
• Your ability to absorb financial disruption without changing course

Too often, investors realize they’re out of alignment only after emotions take over and important decisions feel more urgent.

At T. Sapp Financial Partners, we believe a strong financial plan should align not only with your numbers, but with your mindset and behavior as well. Because the best strategy is one you can stay committed to through every season of the market.

And as life changes, your plan should evolve with it.

If it’s been a while since you’ve reviewed your current strategy, this may be a good time for a second look. We invite you to schedule a complimentary Second Look Strategy Session designed to provide a fresh perspective and a second opinion on your existing financial plan. calendly.com/t-sapp-financial-partners/secondlook

This Fourth of July, we celebrate the freedoms many of us hold dear—the freedom to choose our path, pursue our goals, support the people we love, and create the life we envision.

While freedom means something different to each of us, one thing remains true: meaningful choices often begin with thoughtful planning.

Whether your goals include retiring with confidence, caring for family, giving generously, traveling more, or leaving a lasting legacy, a well-designed financial strategy can help turn those aspirations into possibilities.

As you enjoy time with family and friends this holiday weekend, consider this question:

What would greater financial confidence allow you to do?

At T. Sapp Financial Partners, we're here to help you create a plan that aligns with your values, supports your goals, and helps you move forward with clarity and purpose.

Happy Fourth of July from our family to yours.

Your financial plan has been sitting on the shelf since January. Summertime is the perfect time to revisit it and dust it off.

Here are 5 questions to review with your advisor to help ensure you are still on track with your goals for the year 👇🏾

1️⃣ Did I meet my savings targets last year, and are my goals set for this year?
2️⃣ Are there gaps in my plan — estate planning, cash flow, protection — that need attention?
3️⃣ What can I do now to reduce my tax burden before year-end?
4️⃣ Does my portfolio still reflect my risk tolerance and timeline?
5️⃣ Does my portfolio include Defined Outcome investment strategies that potentially limit losses during periods of market volatility? What opportunities or risks might I be missing as the year unfolds?

Financial planning isn't a once-a-year event. It's a living, breathing strategy that should be reviewed throughout the year.

If you don't have someone in your corner to work through these with you, that's where we come in. Visit our website to learn how we can help you stay on track with your financial goals. tsappfp.com

One-size-fits-most works fine for some things. Your retirement strategy probably isn't one of them.

One thing I often see in 401(k)s is the use of target-date funds. They're popular for a reason—they simplify a complex decision. But the underlying construction of those funds, including the glide path, international exposure, and assumed risk tolerance, may or may not reflect where you are today or how your 401(k) fits with the rest of your portfolio.

As balances grow, the default structure deserves a fresh look.

For plans that offer it, a Self-Directed Brokerage Account can provide additional flexibility inside the 401(k) without requiring a rollover or starting over. Most people I speak with have no idea it's available.

The question isn't whether something needs to change. It's whether your current approach still fits where you are today.

If it's been a few years since you've looked closely at your 401(k), this might be a good time to revisit it with fresh eyes. And if you'd like to talk through how your retirement accounts fit into your broader financial picture, I'm always happy to have that conversation.
